This is a terrible toy, the parts kept falling off and wouldn't stay on and it was very difficult for him to turn the toy into the truck and into Optimus Prime. It was a waste of money.

This is the last of several Transformers that my son has received for his birthday this year and by far my least favorite. After helping him with Starscream, Sidewinder, Demolisher, and Bumblebee I expected the same quality and engineering that was put into the other models. This is not the case with this model of Optimus Prime. I am disappointed with the cheapness of the plastic, the tolerance of the assembly, and the general letdown of getting a cheap toy when I expected a bit more. The other models feel sturdy in your hand and have a heavier gauge of plastic and also have more connection points that hold the models together once transformed. This model does have some cool features but overall is just not as good as the others. I would recommend the more expensive model for the older kids as it can handle more abuse and the gravity assist line for the younger kids as they transforms by themselves.

Overall, this isn't a bad Voyager class toy. It transforms well and looks decent in both modes. However, I do have a few complaints. In both modes the colors are a little dull. The reds and blues aren't that bright. All of the parts that are supposed to be a metallic color (grill, exhaust pipes, gas tank) are beige. He looks good in robot mode. Although, the way he transforms leaves a big "hump" on his back. It's not that bad looking straight at him, but it's more noticable viewing him from the side/back. If you want a more "movie accurate" version I would get the Leader Class figure. The Voyager Class Optimus Prime is a good figure, but not a great one.

I purchased this toy for my son and he absolutely loved it. The details of the truck to transformer is great but the pieces are not durable. I don't think this was made to be played with, the pieces fall off, and it's kind of hard for a kid to change it from Truck to transformer.
If you plan on showcasing the item then it's GREAT! If you plan on playing with it, be patient because the pieces will keep falling off.

Bought this for my nephew's B'Day, he loves transformers and wanted the great Optimus Prime. Its a good size toy, only the truck part so there's no cab. The only complaint is that it isn't glossy/shinny which would have really made the colors pop and make it look nicer.
