new midnight avenger: I wanted Jess to kind of go off the deep end in this one. Since she lost both her father and brother she couldn't handle it.
Of course I could've easily focused on What if John Dark Jr. had turned to drugs instead of vigilantism? B/c that's probably what really altered the outcome here. Seeing as how he wasn't around to mentor Jess and she took the entire weight on her own shoulders.
