Justice League Episode: Secret Origins

Batman and Superman discover alien invaders and find out they need the help of others. A three parter that introduces our heroes including Wonder Woman, Batman, the John Stewart Green Lantern, the Wally West Flash played by Smallville's very own Michael Rosenbaum, the Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl,  and of course Superman. Secret Origins is a lot like the Justice League in the War of the Worlds movie. Great way to show a threat big enough to incorporate the combined powers of the Justice League.

Fact Files 
"Secret Origins" was the name of a DC comic which showcased the origin stories of various heroes.

The tripod war machines bear a strong resemblence to H.G. Wells' "The War of the Worlds. There is also a General Wells on this episode.

The General talks about not being able to trust the security of the Earth to Superman. This is in reference to Superman the Animated Series finale where Superman was brainwashed by Darkseid into attacking Earth.
 
Kevin Conroy is back as Batman. He has been doing the voice of Batman since The Batman Animated Series and Batman Beyond.

George Newbern takes on the voice-role of Superman, replacing Timothy Daly who did the voice of Superman in his animated series.
Michael Rosenbaum Smallville's Lex Luthor takes on the voice-role of The Flash, replacing Charles Schlatter, who did the role in the Superman episode "Speed Demons."
