Justice League Episode: War World

Superman and J'onn J'onzz are detonating an asteroid on a collision course for Earth, when hydrogen pockets erupt knocking them out. A nearby alien ship picks them off and hauls them off to the planet of Mongul, a tyrannical ruler who amuses his people by sending combatants off to War World , a deserted ruin of a planet.

Mongul is defeated but not by Superman, but by a fellow combatant named Draaga that Superman had defeated on War World.

This episode appears to be inspired by the comic book storyline when Superman is exiled from Earth and lands on Warworld, meets Mongul, and fights Draaga in Adventures of Superman #454, May 1989.

Guest Stars

Eric Roberts (Mongul) He's best known for his role as a karate champion on "Best of the Best" He's the brother of Julia Roberts.

William Smith (Draaga) He appeared on the final episode of the 1966 Adam West Batman show. He usually plays a bad guy. He also played Conan the Barbarian's father.
