Clark Flying?
Clark finally flies with what looks a lot like the flying sequences from the Matrix, except I actually think this looked better.  

Lois Lane in Smallville
Margot Kidder did a great job as Dr. Swann's emissary, as did the new Lois Lane (Erica Durance) who seemed to have a cigarette problem just like Margot when she played Lois in the movies. It was also a good touch to have Margot's character explain she was once in love with Dr. Swann (Christopher Reeve's character).

One thing I noticed about the new Lois. Clark seemed to respond to her with ease, not labored and strained like when he talks to Lana. A good touch for the show, it showed a chemistry between Lois and Clark that we all know ends up in the future with marriage.


I loved the ending.  Finding out Chloe is alive right at the end was cool, but the question is how is Clark going to explain to Lois how he knows she is alive. He can't just say I used my x-ray vision.

Clark (Tom Welling) returns to Smallville re-programmed as Kal-El. Intent on fulfilling his destiny, Kal-El takes to the skies to steal a powerful kryptonite crystal. Determined to save her son, Martha (Annette O'Toole) turns to Dr. Swann's emissary, Bridgette Crosby (Margot Kidder, Superman), and learns about a surprising new form of kryptonite. Meanwhile, Lois Lane (Erica Durance) comes to town to investigate the murder of her cousin Chloe (Allison Mack). Also, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) returns from Paris with a new attitude and a new boyfriend (Jensen Ackles, Dark Angel), Jonathan (John Schneider) lies in a coma, and Lionel (John Glover) faces a grim new life in prison. 
Michael Rosenbaum and Annette O'Toole also star. Greg Beeman directed the episode written by Al Gough & Miles Millar.
