The WB's Description

A MYSTERIOUS GIRL FROM KRYPTON COMES TO TAKE CLARK HOME - Things come to a head in Smallville when Kara, a beautiful girl (guest star Adrianne Palicki) with superpowers, who claims to be from Krypton, comes to entice Clark (Tom Welling) to fulfill his destiny. Overwhelmed, Clark turns to his parents (John Schneider, Annette O'Toole) for advice but is shocked when Kara forces Jonathan to finally reveal the deal he made with Jor-El. Also, Clark makes a discovery that ultimately redefines his relationship with Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), and Clark's relationship with Lana (Kristin Kreuk) takes a final turn.

Episode Highlights
The girl Kara in this episode turns out not to be from Krypton, but the original comic book version of Kara is Superman's cousin Supergirl from Krypton. In the 80's she was killed in the Crisis on Infinite Earth's mini series where the multi-verse was cut down to one Earth.

Recently Kara has been reintroduced to comics in Superman/Batman #8 written by none other than Smallville's Jeph Loeb.

It seems as though Lionel has decided to seek revenge for his murder arrest as Chloe goes into a house that explodes right before our eyes, and Lex Luthor collapses from an apparent poison. To make matters worse Jonathan has been zapped by Jor-El, Clark is now in Jor-El's hands, Pete's moving out of state, and Lana is moving to Paris. Clark ended his friendship with Lex before the house blew up and Lex was poisoned. Not a good week for Smallville, and to make matters even worse we have to wait till next season to see what becomes of everyone.
