Third Season Guide

Exile is the third season premiere continuing three months later from the second season's finale.  Clark  in terrible feeling of guilt for the loss of Martha Kents baby due to a truck accident caused by the explosion of Clark's ship, is now living in Metropolis and worse is under the spell of red kryptonite. He purposely exposed himself to the red k in hopes of forgetting the pain of guilt.

Lex Luthor after having just got married and heading off on his honeymoon was seen going into the ocean in his jet last season. Now Lex finds himself on a deserted island presumed dead by Smallville citizens. Deserted except for the friend he conjured up in his mind. No Gilligan or Skipper in site.

Meanwhile, the Kents are beside themselves with worry not knowing how to get into contact with Clark. Clark goes on the rampage in Metropolis even robbing a bank. Clark gains the attention of the biggest crime boss of Metropolis Morgan Edge who hires Clark to steal his own blood sample from Lionel Luthor.

Helen turns out to be guilty of the attempted murder of Lex Luthor. Lionel Luthor apparently hired her to keep tabs on Lex.  Lionel appears on this episode to not have been anymore involved in Lex's plane crash than that.

Lana Lang finds out from Chloe where Clark is and calls Jonathan who goes to Metropolis to find Clark after he makes a deal with Jor-el for some Pa Kent super powers.

Meanwhile, Lex is rescued from the deserted island. Jonathan meets Clark in Metropolis and has to give Clark a good old fashion whoopin when they both fall out a skyscraper window, which leads us to the terrible to be continued message we all dread.
