Continuing from the previous episode "Exile", Jonathan gets into a knock down drag out fight with red k influenced Clark in Metropolis. Jonathan having been granted temporary powers from Jor-el is successful. Clark smashes the red kryptonite ring he was wearing and returns with Jonathan to Smallville. Lex confronts Lionel whom he believes is guilty of causing his plane crash. Lionel tells him of Helen's story of how she claimed Lex gave up his life for her by giving her the last parachute.
Lionel Luthor confronts Morgan Edge about Clark's missing blood and tells him to return it or else. Lex confronts Helen and appears to believe her until he attempts to have another honeymoon which almost ends up the same way as the first. Helen plays her hand and attempts to murder Lex again. This time the pilot is shot and Lex goes down again.
