Goathhearder i just want to let you know that i don't care about what you have to say, Its not like i know you, to me your just some guy on a site who dosn't know me at all... so please keep your comments to yourself. If poeple are nice to me im nice to then but if they try to run me down i will do the same in return unless its really my fault. And most of the time i joke around, Look im an animal lover and i didn't mean to offend your goats... i don't understand what your going on about.

Bottom line is, Kavitha and goatherder, that you both and I were just expressing our own individual opinions. If you took it personally in any, way, shape or form then I humbly apologise to you both. I always try to lighten the mood with whatever I can make fun of Tim and try to help whenever I can, that is what Locke can be like, can't he? I guess it is the good natured person that I am that, usually, shines through at the right point in time, unless I don't like you but sometimes I will help for the sake of helping. To use Australian terminology, Tim, I can be very cheeky, like most Australians can be. I just think that Americans come across, to the rest of the world, as too uptight sometimes so a bit of levity is always a good idea no matter what the situation. I mean take the people in tropical north Queensland who just got hit by cyclone Larry, a category 5 cyclone. If you go up there now you will see a lot of heartache over the devistation but most of then will find something to laugh at because those people managed to survive 240+ km/hr winds which is a bigger storm than hurricane Katrina which hit New Orleans, she was only a category 4.

and this has "what" to do with the whole subject?
I really don't see what comparing storms has to do with anyhting???

We in america have survived 9-11 and can still laugh at things...we just don't laugh about "it"

Kavitha...this whole "verbal assault" between us started as a result of someone asking me about my user name...and my responding.  YOU injected yourself into the mix with..."WOW...IMPRESSIVE"  You later on several occasions proclaimed you were being SARCASTIC.  SARCASM means...cutting...caustic...it's negative.  So, I responded to that...with the "small mind" comment...but remember...you started all this...totally unprovoked....with your comment...which was not meant to be a joke...but SARCASTIC!  So...like YOU...if someone is nice to me...I'm nice to them...if they try to run me down...I will do the same.  And if you don't care what I say...then why respond.  So...lets put a period and move on. BYE!!

I wasn't trying to cut you goatherder i was trying to cut superjon cause he asked what i found impressive in your statement about the goats ok. Thats why i said was being sarcastic, i didn't mean to offend you. and i did say that to you remember!!!

But still the small mide comment was wrong cause i used the word sarcastic (which means negative) so i wasn't impressed and therefore i don't have a small mind.

Once again im sorry for offending your goats OK!!!
I would never insult an animal...

Krypton there were many Americans killed in 9-11 but they were not the only country who lost their countrymen and countrywomen in the attacks on the towers, Washington DC and the other plane that went down. A year later people with similar thinking to that of the 9-11 terrorists deliberately targeted Australians in a Bali nightclub and then they went after Spaniards then British but make no mistake I am not trying to get one-up-manship on you I am just saying that the terrorists are not singling out one nationality they want to hurt anyone they can. The thing is Tim said that he thought that my personality was similar to that of Locke on the tv show Lost and I was just telling him what the Australian mentality is like in most situations. Tim, as a matter of fact Australians will make fun of anyone they can including themselves because if you want to laugh at someone else then you must also be willing to laugh at yourself.
P.S. Are we cool goatherder and Kavitha? I just saw an opportunity to have a little fun and it got serious, sorry.
Posted:  27 Mar 2006 17:07
superjon, I understand where your coming from. For the record I think it's great your proud to be an Australian like I'm proud to be an American. People should be loyal to their country. Of course if you make fun of America I'll have to jack slap you, across the internet, but you'd probably pull one of those little dinky knives on me from Dundee or something. lol

Man am I progressing or what I use fancy internet abbreviations like lol now like all the other internet hip guys.

Just reading through real quick, it appears everybody is getting a little uptight. Guys don't assume everything someone says is for starting an argument maybe it's just for kidding around like my threat to jack slap superjon. I'm sure he knows I'm kidding. If he aggravates you, threaten to write him a nasty letter or better yet threaten to never spend your tourist dollars in Australia.

I think what we have here, is failure to communicate. - I just love movie lines.

Please people stop trying to get goatherder's goat.

Very true Tim,I do agree with you but you can't use the word "joking" as an excuse every time you insult someone, Having fun and joking around is fine but there is a limit to everything. You can't expect everyone to react the same right? I mean people are different and some may get offended by the jokes you play on them. All I’m saying is to think twice before you pull a joke. Its not that I can't take a joke I’m just talking in general.

And superjon since you said "sorry" i suppose things are back to normal and i am not angry with goatherder he is the one who has a problem with me and once again i didn't offend his goats.

Tim, if an 8-9" blade is your idea of a dinky knife then what is your idea of a big one, a machete or a samari sword. Don't worry mate, if it's a joke then a will put a smiley face at the end so that nobody takes what I am saying seriously. Thanks Kavitha, better to make friends than enemies and if goatherder was a shepherd then I would be able to make a joke about Kiwis (New Zealanders) but alas I will make no comments what so ever. Now everyone leave his goats alone because you never know where they've been.
Posted:  28 Mar 2006 13:29
LOL...hey... whats wrong with goats...lol, I think they are pretty cute actually all animals are amazing but we just don’t' see it, all we see when we look at them is food. And just for the record I am a pure vegetarian and that because i respect the creation of animals.

Anyways apart from the animal talk, superjon i think your right about the friend part, finally i see something sweet in you...lol

Kavitha as a personal rule I do try to be careful of what I say, but I think that it's good for people to not take everything so seriously sometimes. Today people get so wrapped into political correctness, you can't move without offending somebody. Not saying that's you. I just mean society in general.

Superjon which knife is bigger you all's Australian pig stickers or Jim Bowie's?

Tim I totally understand what your trying to say...
I don't take everything so seriously and neither do i take it offensive. If you want to offend some one (that is if you have no choice) just try to be nice so in that way it will cause less problems.
Maybe i do take things a little seriously and I cant help it cause thats just the way I am. (Maybe cause I’m studying law, in uni everyone there tries to diss you and run you down, guess I’m so used to that)

Well I can feel your pain. I remember how school was. Everybody is trying to be oh so witty and they usually think that they have to run somebody down to do it.

It's not funny if the person starts to feel bad what your saying. Thank God I'm not in school anymore! Might as well be a prisoner in a state penn with a bunch of murderous thugs.

You know policemen get bullet proof vests when they go on patrol, what do you get when you go to school for protection these days?

I am not sure Tim because I think that the one that Paul Hogan had in Crocodile Dundee 1 & 2 was an Australian version of the bowie knife that got introduced during the late 1800's. If my memory of Australian history is correct I think that some of the American prospectors from the US goldfields brought then over and then the local boys made a version with a slightly larger blade. Like I said the bowie knife has about a 6" blade whereas Croc Dundee has about an 8.5" blade on it. I guess the Aussie boys thought that a 6" blade wasn't big enough to kill someone. Go figure!!!!
Posted:  29 Mar 2006 10:50
I agree with with you tim... Tim im not in school either im in university now (hope you didn't think i was a kid...eeerrr). Although i never had problems in school i actually miss school and my friends.

The only way to protect yourself is to learn the skills to diss poeple in that way no one will bully you and when people try to run you down do the same to them, the sad part is once you become all mean it becomes apart of you.

The thing to remember Kavitha is after you get out of college you will probably never see your fellow law students again for the rest of your life. So it doesn't pay really to change for people who take up such a small part of your life.

Superjon, I reckon you got me on that one. You are sharp. That's why you remind me of that Locke guy on Lost.

Tim you clearly don't understand, its not only about the law students, if I have to become a lawyer I have to win my cases and in order to do that I have to lie, try to run down my opponents and fight against them, And also defend a guilty person and probably bring a death sentence upon some innocent person... This sort of an attitude automatically develops and it becomes apart of your personality... (Although it’s nothing bad) I mean I don’t just try to run anyone down unless someone does that to me, its not easy Tim...

Anyways let’s just forget about this and get to the topic...

Ok sorry. Sounds like being a lawyer wouldn't be my cup of tea. Too stressful.

So how would you defend the new Superman Returns costume?

I wouldn't defend it. The cape looks like a fruit Roll-up, the boots are to low, the colors are to dull, there is no S on the cape, the belt looks like a Power Ranger belt, the S on the front is to small, and to high on the chest, and the trunks look like baby doll panties.

My Kavitha a Lawyer ,
That is really cool

Yes well I kind of think along the lines of having a large amount of knowledge about one particular subject is all well and good but to have an above average knowledge on many subjects makes me a more interesting person. That way I can talk about many different subjects. My favourite subjects to talk about, in order, would be movies, sports, tv shows, local events, national events and world events.

I was just at  DC  Comic's  website, I was looking at some of the comics they will be coming out with this month, the Superman comics, the Superman suit in those comics looks nothing like Singer's suit. When I saw the comics suit, I saw classical suit, I look at Singer's suit, it looks like nothing. The classical suit looks more powerful then Singer's suit. It looks wimpy.
Posted:  06 Apr 2006 11:16
Yep, SCLJ, well most of us agree that the new movie suit bites big time and we are all hoping that they make some changes for the next one. Hey Tim have you seen V for Vendetta yet?
Posted:  06 Apr 2006 15:08
No, I'm waiting for the DVD. I almost went to see it but it's a 30 minute or so drive not to mention the money it costs. When our local drive -in opens I might see it there. Not open for spring yet though.
