I don't think he wears it in the movie, I just thought it would be a cool idea.

The storyline from the movie is that superman returns from outer space, hence the title, and well maybe this is the suit he is wearing when he steps out of the ship he is in. I mean like what you can see from the movie stills on brandonrouth.com.
If that is the case then the second suit will be a big let down from that one won't it.

Yes, Superman in Brooklyn, I saw some of the behind the scenes shots from the movie and it looks like that Kryptonian suit is more of a grey/brown colour, like a dark beige.
