I'm not sure how many of you watch the Justice League cartoon. But for those who do, does Superman seem really weak to you on the show? It seems that every time he's attacked he's flopping on the floor like a fish out of water. While Wonder Woman is blocking everything with her wrist bands. The attacks on Superman generally never have to with anything more than a laser attack or him fighting hand to hand with someone. They imo have done a very poor job on capturing the true power of Superman.

I would think he would be more of a leader and only be used for very important missions, instead he's always getting his a** kicked and it really pisses me off.

I have noticed that throughout the series, but the last episode really explained that to some degree when Superman unleashed his power on Darkseid. He told Darkseid that he was always holding back, always in fear of hurting somone, but since Darkseid could take it. He was finally going to let lose.

The times it seemed Hawkgirl could do stuff almost as good as Superman with her stupid mace really irked me. After all it's Hawkgirl for crying out loud.

I agree, Hawkgirl is way to powerful. And it seems the Flash never does much either other than get beat up all the time.

Yeah, the Flash character was the best though besides Superman & Batman. Michael Rosenbaum really made the Flash funny. I wish the Flash would get his own series as long as Rosenbaum is doing the voice of course.

i figure that Superman was deliberately made to be somewhat less-powered so focus would be shifted to the other League members (the same with Batman; him being a part-timer).

I feel that they really did Superman wrong, and it's not true to the comics at all.

I think they did Superman ok. There were times when I was like what, come on, especially when a ray or something knocks out Superman along with Hawkgirl when if it knocks out Supes it ought to kill poor Hawkgirl instead of just knocking her out.
I think it might be a case of political correctness overshadowing the known capabilities of the superheroes we all know and love, or it could have been an easy way out to get to the point of the story the writers and animators wanted to take us to.
Either way I say get the powers right every time.

I know what you mean about a ray or laser taking Superman out, I really like your point too about Hawkgirl, I never thought about that. I have to remember it's just a cartoon. Sometimes their solutions are way to easy also.
