Im guessing it wont be, Lex, Clark or Lana. My hunches are that its going to be either Lionel Luthor or Jonathan Kent. Just my thoughts... who do you think?? There are some spoilers out there on the net saying just that. I sure hope it's not Lionel or Jonathan. I'm a big fan of John Schneider since the Dukes of Hazzard and Lionel Luthor is a great character even though he's mostly evil. They always have there little war games against eachother, Talk about ' like father, Like son!' John Schneider is really good too, It would take ages for Clark to recover if he left... Very looking forward to it tho! Posted:  27 Apr 2005 17:05 Registered User Currently Offline Posts:  4894 Join Date: Apr 2005 The funny thing is Jonathan Kent originally died while Clark was a teen in the old comics and of course Superman the movie and the old tv show in the 1950's. It wasn't till John Byrne's revamped Superman in the 1980's comics that both the Kents lived into Superman's adult life. Then the Lois and Clark series kept the Kents alive. So you have to wonder since their are reports that Smallville and the Superman Returns movie are going to try and tie in together somehow would they rekill Jonathan because the new movie is supposed to be based on the original Superman Movie and Superman 2 where Jonathan dies early on. I sure hope they don't kill Jonathan. John Schneider keeps the show grounded I think. I don't think he was brought on as a permanent character. Plus the last episode he was acting all evil like to Lana.
