most ppl, like myself, when they think of superman, they think of chris Reeves, thats just the image in ur head
my question is, what do we think of when it comes to morals??
do u just hear the words" Truth, Justice, and the American Way" in ur ears when u think about what the symbols means
what does he mean 2 u? __________________

He's gives a symbol of hope, truth, and justice, in a constant struggle between good and evil.

Completely agree aero and adde to that a real determination and honesty.
I like the slogan truth, justice etc, but being from the uk 'the american way' bit doesn't have the same effect on me. __________________

Saying the American way is another way of saying Superman is all about freedom and democracy vs if he said the "Russian communist way" or "Outer Mongolia way".
Plus it only makes sense that a fellow raised in America would be proud to be an American. Superman is the ultimate immigrant in a way. A fact which used to played up a lot more.
America ain't perfect but there's been a lot worse places in this old world where people might get shot by a machine gun for just speaking their mind. __________________
ur right i guess i was just thinking about all the bad things, but we should all be proud 2 be americans
i hope that 4 all of the other ppl around the world, that this slogan doesnt appear to mean that americans think we have better morals than everyone, its just like tim said

Putting All politics aside....I believe there is NO better place to live than America with the freedoms and lifestyles that we have.
I do not wish to imply that any of our other contributors here from other countries should not love where they are from, but I have a real Patriotic feeling towards my country and for that I am probably biased....
but given our history, where so many immigrants have travelled to be here and so many more wish to come, it can be said that, how can so many people be wrong
