Ok technically this isn't about Superman comics, but I want to put this in the comic book section because I want those who are comic book readers to take a look and give me their opinions.
I need opinions on the new second Time Rider online issue
I think I've progressed from the first issue of Time Rider
I got some new software called Poser and used this in combination with Adobe. You'll see the changes take place around page 4.
It's a whole lot of fun, but it does take a lot of work. So give me your thoughts that's the only way I'll be able to get Time Rider good enough to eventually submit to a comic book company, which is the ultimate goal.

Yeah Tim...I have quite a collection of 1960's comics from Dell and Marvel. I have over 1000 comics, all vintage.
I kind of have to group your comic with the new "Who wants to be a superhero" show that Stan Lee just completed.
I give you credit for what you did, but nothing comes close to the books of the 60's. Not even the 70's 80's 90's or 00's.
The writers and illustrators back then had a simple, pure, organized manner. It wasn't tooo busy to look at and the story lines were GREAT.
So I will give you a B+ for your time rider.
It may have been cooler spelling Rider with a Y
Ryder.

Thanks Krypton, I kind of wish I could do the art in an older more traditional comic book style, but since I'm not really an artist I have to use software to do it for me. Hopefully, though if I do get it going good I can get a real artist to draw it for me and I'll just write.
Wasn't Ryder the name of the Red Ryder BB guns?
I guess my favorite time for comics was the 70's and 80's but that's when I grew up so maybe that makes me prejudice for that time period. But having said that the 60's were definitely a big time in comics since that's the decade Stan Lee brought us Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, etc. I wish I had some of those first issues. __________________

Tim,
I have almost all of them and they are great.
Yeah Red Ryder was a BB gun, but there was also some western comics back then like the Two Gun Kid and Ghost Rider. I always thought that the spelling with a "Y" would have looked cool jmho.
I have a lot of comics from the 70's too, but the mags are getting pretty expensive so i stopped collecting for now. 1000 or so was good enough for now. They have appreciated alot since owning them. I startyed buying them almost 15 years ago when they were cheaper.
Keep up the good work...maybe Stan will cut you a break...you never know __________________"What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not Fail?"

Now that would be cool. I can see it now, me and Stan the Man Lee hanging out talking about storylines for Time Rider. __________________

Yeah I was rooting for Feedback. I was afraid Fat Momma was going to win there for a little bit. No offense to her, but I thought Feedback was the best hero. That whole doughnut thing was just silly. Funny but just plain silly. __________________

Tyvecus messed up big time when he turned on his fellow hero. I can't remember which one it was now, but anyway he should have seen that one coming. If he had just picked himself to be thrown off the show like everybody else did he might have won the thing, then old Stan would have thought he was self sacraficing. __________________

So Krypton your a firefighter? When I was a kid I used to love that show, "Emergency" back in the 70's.
That show made me want to be a fire fighter when I was a kid. __________________

Well I've done a lot of stuff including real estate sales and tech support but for the last few years I've been making web pages. My wife and I make websites full time, and as far as the comic writing I hope maybe I can one day, Lord willing.
Ladder 49 that's the one with that Phoenix guy and Travolta in it. That one was sad. Any time I watch a movie with a sad ending I try to block it from my mind. You know dvd sales would be a lot higher on movies like that if they had a happy ending. I just can't see subjecting myself to that more than once. I want the hero to live in the end. Why is it modern movies keep killing off the heroes anyway?
You know I know the new Battlestar Galactica is probably a lot better quality wise than the old one, but I just can't seem to get into it. Seems too dark and foreboding. Lorne Greene was a great actor. Most of what I saw with him in it was Bonanza though in reruns. I think that show lasted like 14 years.
But out of firefighter shows the one I remember the most is Emergency. Seems like it came on here on the weekends in reruns and that's when I would catch it.
Chips was another favorite of mine. They always had those cool car pileups if I remember correctly. __________________

Yeah CHP's was pretty cool. I also remember catching reruns of Adam-12 , it was pretty dated but like Dragnet it had it's moments.
I wish they would have the hero live in the end too. I guess Death and sadness SELL better though.
Pretty cool that you do the Webpage stuff. I wish I was more computer literate than I am now. It is just so hard to keep up with the tech.
If I could learn how to write programs, I could probably make a fortune turning out training software for Firefighters. The promotion process in the Fire department is pretty tough and involved. There are so many books to read etc...then you have the Oral boards. It is all based on Knowledge of handling fires and different scenarios that they give.
It would be pretty cool to be able to do it on computer video software and play it like a game to see if your decisions are good ones. Better to have a dry run like that then have to practice in real life which is pretty much what we do every day.
Our decisions mean life and death sometimes, and for the most part we try to believe that we are always making the right choices.
I hope you make out alright with your comicbook. I still think you should make contact with Stan Lee. He seemed pretty down to earth, and after all, you "do" have an in with this site. Use it ! __________________"What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not Fail?"

Another thought,
On DVD I wish they would give 2 endings. The sad one and the happy one. This could let you choose which one to watch. __________________"What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not Fail?"
