The Kryptonians are much more advanced!! Look at the ship, key, cave, Fortress of Solitude, the episode with Jor-el's memories about the 60s. Is it that far of a streach? Personally I didn't think that Jor-El was such a evil dude. __________________

Sorry, he just seemed inocent enough in 1961. I do look intop the possibility that he is evil. I just don't buy it. __________________

OKAY! First: to all you Real fan-atics out there, Jor-El did NOT blow up Krypton, and neither did General of the Kryptonian Planetary Militia Dru-Zod.Krypton exploded due a "time-bomb" placed at the center of Krypton by the losers in the Great Clone Wars of their 80th Century. This bomb made unstable the planetary core which was composed of a mineral much like U-235, a stable uranium isotope, and transmuted it to U-238, which is what nuclear bombs are made of(many of them, anyway).
And it was my namesake, Var-El, Kal-El's Great Grandfather who first perfected Worm-Hole travel to Earth in Earth's 19th century. This also allowed for the "time-scope". Wormhole travel and all other experimentation was forbidden on Krypton, and Var-El had to leave and go to Earth in order to continue his pursuits. And Jor-El gave his word to the Science Council That neither he nor his wife would attempt to leave Krypton, by any means. That would have included unstable trans-galactic wormholes.
Now, in the comics, Var died in an experiment, but WHO KNOWS? Maybe they will find him yet!As for the mystery of how Jor-El "talks" with his son, keep in mind that Kryptonian computers were all crystalline in structure, and Krypton was in its' 10,000th Century of scientific development at the time of its' destruction. Is it any wonder that Jor and his wife were able to construct a program that imprinted their psyches onto the crystalline structures in the cave walls, and also in the Fortress? Lara was also a scientist, an Astronaut to be precise. And there can be no doubt that she would have taken an active hand in assisting her husband in the manufacture of that program.
It's the program that's talking with Clark, not the key or the crystals, or the Fortress.

When did they come up with this explanation of Krypton's destruction? Just once I wish things would stay the same long enough for me to keep up with it. I bet I have more comics than most human beings on the planet and it's still not enough to keep up with current stories. __________________
i think that some of jor-el's concouisness was "downloaded" on to the octaganal key or the crystal that created the fortress for solitude.

I think your Curve-ball theory is right Tim Zod has been pretending to be Jor-El all along, using clark and Brainiac to set up the chain of events that lead to his release from the Phantom Zone __________________

I'm glad you agree Capone. I would love to be right about that. I think that explanation would fit perfectly as to why Jor-El seems evil at times. __________________
kenn5, what crystal are you talking about that he'd put in the fortress? __________________
The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf. It's to outline even the simplest scriptures that can mean so much in building yourself up.
"I am God's workmanship." (Ephesians 2:10)
"I have been redeemed and forgiven." (Colossians 1:14)
"I am the salt and the light of the earth." (Matthew 5:13-14)
I don't think there can be a time viewer for jorel to predict answers clark asks. Because
A)Would he have not tried to save Krypton before anything else
b)How does he speak to Martha Kent and Johnathan Kent
c) In series 6 epiosde 1 how does he make the plane land in the fortress or had the pilot already set the co-ordinates.
views please

Well maybe it's just Jor-El's essence in the form of a computer program, all of his memories and personality traits recorded into the computer program's memory. __________________
The beginning of the season 2 finale "Exodus" gives a good explaination of this when the ship Clark traveled to earth in communicates with him. __________________

CAN I BUST IN AND CHANGE YOUR TRAIN OF THOUGHT FOR A SEC?? I read------
Every piece of Red K has a different effect on Superman, and it will affect Supergirl, Krypto, or any other Kryptonian the exact same way. Each piece will work only ONCE on a Kryptonian, after that he or she becomes immune to that particular sample. The effect lasts 48 hours, and then wears off. Each effect is preceded by a strong tingling sensation, so Superman can tell he's just been exposed to red kryptonite. And it causes his body to emit an aura that will also affect his clothing, so if the effect is, say, to make him invisible or shrink him to six inches tall, his costume will accompany him.(Internet info)
and--Hey! I was asking before about INVISIBILITY and one of us explained the episode where the girl with the crush on Clark with the bro that could do invisable was remembered. But no other "invisable" exists
I would like to see Clark shrink to the 6 inches mentioned above or get invisable like the Red K can do sooo d--n why haven't we seen this?? Come on. (at least to my knowledge) I am off topic--sorry--Got an answer? Then go back to your subjeck," Jor-El talks to Crark, and how." For the record, I think that Jor-El has been taken over by something evil. And it has to be Zod.
