It is hard to believe it has already been five years since we were attacked by those cowards.

Though Smallville is fiction and there are no superheroes in this world, many people stepped up five years ago and were true heroes!!!

It's hard to dwell on too much ...thinking about the people on those planes and in the buildings. I can't understand the logic of these terrorists, how they can justify murdering women and children. Just makes you want to go to the middle east and whoop up on one of those dumb sons of

Definately!!  I seriously considered taking a leave from college to join-up to go fight in the war.  However, I did not know what my parents would think of me putting college on hold when I was on track to graduate in May of 2002.  What was cool is that I brought that up to my parents today, and my Dad said there were a lot of people doing that then and he would have supported my decision.  I regret now that I did not take action.

Heck, if we'd just bomb the crap out of these spots with terrorists (avoiding citizens when at all possible) then maybe nobody would have to go. It's really time we stop playing around with these guys. They ain't playing around with us.

the problem is tim, that we dont know where all of them are and america cant make the entire world terrorist-free unfortunatly
but we should be sending people in whenever there is a threat against our nation, or any others 4 that matter

plus if we bombed them, neighbooring countries would see it as a threat and or an attack.  why?

I think our biggest mistake was dropping the ball on not putting all of our resources towards finding Osama and shifting it all towards Iraq. JMHO

Had we spent all the money and resources which we put towards Iraq, into finding JUST Osama and Al Qaeda, I think we would have unified our country even more than it had been in the weeks
after 9-11-01.

Instead we are now back to where we were before it.

And to relate it to the medical field...You have to treat one disease before you can move on to another. When you try to cure everything at once it does not usually result in curing anything. I feel that is how we need to go after terrorism. One group at a time and we should have stuck with the group that actually attacked "US" here in the USA.

Then we could have went after those countries with Mass Weapons of Destruction???
Hello??? What about N. Korea...they actually have them, unlike Iraq.

Sorry for the ranting
Touchy subject when you have a lot of friends and family over there.

Krypton I see where your coming from, but seeing the situation from all points of view, I think alot of the rationale of going to Iraq was to get a greater foothold in the middle east, get rid of a dictator, and draw out the terrorist away from the states to a much farther away location.

Believe me though I don't blame anybody for being negative about the war especially if you have loved ones over there. Justified or not, war is always well you know.
