Here's the scoop-

Ben "Daredevil" Affleck" has signed to play actor 'George Reeves' in the biopic "TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY", the tragic story about the American actor, noted for playing DC Comics' 'Superman' character in 104 episodes of the 1951-1957 TV series, "The Adventures Of Superman".

Adrien Brody plays a detective investigating the mysterious death of George Reeves. Diane Lane plays Tomi Mannix, the wife of a studio exec who may be having a romantic relationship with Reeves

It should be interesting to see if he does wear the costume for a few scenes of the movie.

Yeah well I didn't think that much of DD so Ben couldn't do any worse for his career right now could he?

You know I'm not a big fan of Affleck's politics seems like he was one of those Hollywood guys who threatened to leave if Bush got elected or something similiar, but as an actor I haven't got that much against him. I guess I'm one of the few that liked Daredevil and Pearl Harbor is one of my favorite movies. I haven't seen any of his big bombs. DD did serve it's purpose it had action, a cool soundtrack, and it introduced us to Daredevil. I haven't exactly figured out what people expected from that movie that they didn't get except for maybe the costume not living up to expectations. Of course none of the Batman suits were any good either.
Heck don't shoot me, but I'd like to see Garner and him return for DD2.

I agree with a lot of what trfrady is saying about the guy. I just think that Affleck is a guy that was in the media so much for a while that people look for reasons to hate his movies without asking themselves if they actually like it. I hope that he has been out of the spotlight long enough for people to look at this movie with an open mind.

I would be interested if they show him in the Superman costume before the show went to color. It would be interesting, but I'm sure it would be too confusing.

Speaking of costumes, at least the Daredevil costume didn't have rubber nipples.

That's definitely something to be thankful for.
