Typo on my part, it should have read, "Or in this case, maze!!"

Anyhow, you did good catching yourself SF1!!!

Now, let's see how well you do with keeping the lid on "Crimson" because I know that will be filled with "rosy" tidbits!!

You bet, the excitement comes from the anticipation.  I know it really has to be hard for you as you are there waiting for all the prep work that has to take place even before a short scene can be filmed.  Then, of course, are the required re-takes, and possibly having folks to come back in to loop audio that wasn't picked up well enough when the scene was filmed.  BTW, do you know what the average turnaround time is for the script to be written to when it is in the can ready to be aired?  Just curious, don't worry about it if you don't know.

Also, Kristin Kreuk, aka Lana Lang, turned 24 years old yesterday, the 30th.  If you wanna wish a happy birthday to her, go to this link.  That is if you are a member of Devoted to Smallville.

Whether you love her or hate her, it still a nice thing to do.

I thought I seen it all, but I was wrong.  A WWE Diva named Layla interview Erica Durance, aka Lois Lane.  Read it.

Layla interviews Erica Durance
Written: January 3, 2007For the third installment of WWE.com’s Superstar to Superstar, 2006 Diva Search winner Layla took a few minutes to catch up with Erica Durance, a.k.a. Lois Lane on The CW’s hit show Smallville. The Canadian actress, who also stars in the popular direct-to-DVD feature The Butterfly Effect 2, tells Layla who she thinks Lois Lane really is, and how she'll fit in when Smallville returns with new episodes starting January 11.

Layla: WWE Divas represent strength, independence, beauty, sex appeal and class. How do you think Lois Lane fits into these characteristics?

Erica: When I grew up, one of the things I loved about the Lois Lane character was her independence. The fact that she has this inner strength that basically says, “If anything goes wrong, I’m going to turn to myself first. I’m not a victim. Let’s see how I can get myself out of this.”

The beauty that Lois has is that she doesn’t view herself as a beauty or sex symbol. Her beauty comes from the confidence she has within, and the fact she can rely on her wit and her strengths. As a result, it comes across as confidence that people find beautiful.

Layla: Madonna was my first inspiration. Who were yours? As a child, was there anyone who you saw on TV that inspired you to become an actress?

Erica: Well, I don’t want to steal Madonna from you…

Layla: Go ahead, she’s an icon!

Erica: She’s an independent woman who didn’t take crap from anyone. She went out there and did her thing. But, over the last few years, another woman who I think is unbelievable is Angelina Jolie. She doesn’t apologize for who she is. It’s take it or leave it, and she’s not going to change. I really admire that. They are both people who make their own decisions and stick to them, and I really find that attractive.

Layla: Favorite Lois Lane actress?

Erica: Margot Kidder. She brought so much strength and class to the character.

Layla: What are some of the obstacles you had to overcome to win the role on Smallville?

Erica: I’m not sure how many actresses auditioned, but it was a long process. They were looking for a good six months before I even auditioned. I didn’t expect much; I expected it to go to some beautiful girl from L.A., so I figured I'd just give it a shot and see what happens. I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. I auditioned on a Friday, and got the part on a Monday.

Layla: That’s a great accomplishment. Y'know, the Divas welcomed me into WWE with a cold shower at SummerSlam. How did the Smallville cast initiate you?

Erica: Well, we didn’t have any cold showers, thank God. They welcomed me in with a sense of humor, and taught me to laugh at myself and not take myself too seriously. The whole cast was very welcoming. I went to Paris with Allison Mack, who plays my cousin Chloe, for a Smallville thing. She took me out to dinner, which was really nice; it was just one of those things that helped break the ice.

Layla: At WWE, we never know what’s going to happen, but many of the Smallville episodes for this season have already been recorded. Can you tell us what’s in store for Lois Lane for the rest of this year?

Erica: Lois is going to keep getting herself into trouble, but she’s also going to grow up a little more. She’s been investigating more stories and getting into some sticky situations, so she will definitely have to do a little more fighting. And there will be more between her and her new love interest, Oliver Queen [played by Justin Hartley]. I don’t know if I can give away too much.

Layla: My personal kryptonite is desserts. What’s yours?

Erica: My personal kryptonite is probably chips and dip. Or In-N-Out Burger when I’m in L.A. Every time I’m there I have to go.

Layla: I love that place! Have you been to Fatburger?

Erica: No, I haven’t been there yet, but I’ll have to give it a shot.

Layla: You don’t look like you eat a lot of burgers.

Erica: We all need to make time for a burger once in a while.

Layla: Erica, thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us. We'll keep watching you on Smallville.

Erica: Thanks, Layla.

MORE NEWS ON FRIDAY
Check back throughout the day for additional coverage!

SMALLVILLE UPDATE

In some ways, water has been Erica Durance's personal Kryptonite.

And it hasn't helped that her Lois Lane character always seems to be facing a watery grave in The CW's Smallville.

Lois hit her head on a dive and had to be rescued by Aquaman in "Aqua," was paralyzed with water rushing in on her in "Recruit" and was dunked repeatedly by thugs in "Arrow."

"No, I don't like water," Durance said during The Continuum's recent visit to the Smallville set. "But each time I'm becoming more and more comfortable, so that's good.

"I mean, it's like facing a fear."

Durance said that "Arrow," which was rebroadcast on Thursday night, is one of her favorite episodes.

"It was all over the place," she said. "I got to do some wirework and I got rescued. And I had to go in and there and fight it up. And, of course, they had the drowning."

So the good news is Durance is getting used to the water work. The bad news is that the next new episode of Smallville is called "Hydro," and it appears Lois will be at least getting wet again, as evidenced by the image released by The CW this week.

Look for a complete interview with Durance soon here in The Continuum.

In other Smallville news:

* According to a source, either this season's 17th or 19th episode -- or possibly both -- will feature guest-star heroes.

* Glen Winter is the director of the upcoming "Crimson" episode. He previously directed "Fallout."

* Look for more on Smallville on Saturday here in The Continuum

They really do have the best effects I've ever seen on a television show, and the episode Zod was a classic example.

Here's an update.

Episode #6-12: "Labyrinth" Air Date: January 25, 2007

Written By: Al Septein & Turi Meyer
Directed By: Whitney Ransick

UPDATED 1/3/07: TV Guide's Mike Ausiello has confirmed our December 1 reports and says that this episode asks the question, "What if Clark's super-abilities were nothing more than a figment of his imagination?"
- This "dream" will also feature the "death of a Smallville heroine," says Ausiello. Since he also implies that he gets a LOT of questions about this character, don't be surprised if the dead heroine in question has the initials C.S. (Ausiello later confirmed this spoiler, a week after K-Site first speculated it... it is indeed Chloe)

UPDATED 12/1/06: Yes, John Jones (the Martian Manhunter) does appear in this episode. In it, Clark wages a war within his mind and the Manhunter's telepathic abilities might be the only thing that can save him.
- Within his subconscious, Clark enters a world where he seemingly never had super powers, no one believes the truth about him, and things had taken a drastically different turn.
- In this other world, Clark and Lana were high school sweethearts and Chloe is one of the only people who believes Clark's stories about his abilities.
- Clark is held someplace where he sees references to characters from the show's past - Jor-El, Professor Fine, Raya, and Arthur Curry being among them.
- There will be a kiss between Clark and one of the show's regular females in this story.
- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.

UPDATED 11/9/06 & 11/17/06: Remember that alien guy from the end of "Static?" It is VERY likely that the Martian Manhunter will make a return appearance in this episode. This time he'll actually have lines, and Clark will learn a bit about him.

UPDATED 10/30/06: Title Posted. Please do not post this on other websites without a link back to KryptonSite.com.

Episode #6-13: "Crimson" Air Date: February 1, 2007

Written By: Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders
Directed By: Glen Winter
Guest Stars: Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen)

UPDATED 1/17/07: TV Guide's write-up for "Crimson" says "It's Valentine's Day in Smallville, where love blooms and hearts are broken, but not for the usual reasons---red kryptonite is infused into cosmetics, and that makes Lois and Clark a little crazy."
- So what does that mean? Could it be that Lois Lane has some Red-K laced lipstick that she uses to plant a big one on C.K.? If you guessed "yes," go to the head of the class. This news has also apparently been confirmed by TV Guide's Ausiello. (For some reason that we'll see in the episode, Lois isn't quite herself, either, because we know she wouldn't purposely kiss Clark - or would she?)

UPDATED 12/20/06: New spoilers from TV Guide's Mike Ausiello: Clark will be kissing both Lois Lane and Lana Lang in this episode. He's actually pretty rude to Chloe, teasing her about always wanting him, "but that is just the Red-K talking."
- Chloe and Jimmy will be the couple whose relationship changes in this episode, and the change is not for the better.
- And now for what Ausiello didn't tell you: Clark admits to Chloe that he has considered a relationship with her in the past, and that is what breaks her up with Jimmy. Also, the red-K induced Clois might go away as soon as something more interesting comes along for Clark.

UPDATED 12/16/06: Contrary to Mike Ausiello's report, it doesn't sound like the Martian Manhunter will be appearing in "Crimson." Look for him in "Labyrinth" instead. Perhaps Ausiello got his wires crossed... we're still loving your smurfy column, Mike!

UPDATED 12/6/06: New spoilers from TV Guide's Mike Ausiello:
- The changed relationship is "a couple we've been rooting for, and Clark is the reason the relationship changes. Speaking of the action-packed "Crimson" episode, Clark gets infected with Red Kryptonite and goes on a massive kissing spree. (It is Valentine's Day, after all.) Among his victims: Two women whose names start with "L." By the end of the day, one of them won't remember anything and another will have proof that Clark possesses some seriously super DNA."
- Also from Ausiello: "At the end of the episode, there's a big twist concerning the bun in Lana's oven. And Martian Manhunter returns. Sort of."
- And then finally: ""Crimson" also features the third Lois Lane to find herself flying over Metropolis' skyline. The episode is gonna be huge, people. Huge! And I suspect Tom Welling fans are going to love seeing sexy Clark back."

UPDATED 12/2/06: In what can only be described as "Red meets Rush," Clark is infected with red Kryptonite yet again, and at least one other major character also feels the effects.
- The Red K causes Clark's inhibitions to drop and his emotions all come to the surface. He lets everyone know what he thinks of recent developments - including Lana's pregnancy and Martha's relationship with Lionel.
- Even though some people thought she'd be out for a little while due to filming a movie, Lois (Erica Durance) is in this episode.
- The status of at least one relationship will change after "Crimson."

UPDATED 10/30/06: Title Posted. Please do not post this on other websites without a link back to KryptonSite.com. Unfortunately, we don't know any spoilers about this one yet!

Episode #6-14: "Trespass" Air Date: February 8, 2007

Written By: Tracy A. Bellomo
Directed By: Rick Rosenthal
Guest Stars: Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen)

UPDATED 12/8/06: Lois Lane (Erica Durance) does not appear in this episode.
- It's been a while since we've had a "Lana has a stalker" story, so this episode should fill that void that we know we've all had.

UPDATED 12/3/06: Casting material for this episode has gone out in Vancouver. They're looking for an admitting nurse, two paparazzi, a reporter, and a man named Brady. Could Lana's baby be in danger? Guess we'll have to find out....

UPDATED 11/25/06: Title Posted. Please do not post this on other websites without a link back to KryptonSite.com.

Episode #6-15: "Freak" Air Date: February 15, 2007

Written By: Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer
Directed By: Michael Rosenbaum
Guest Stars: Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen)

UPDATED 12/8/06: Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) do not appear in this episode.
- A young man named Tobias was blinded in the second meteor shower, but he was left with a gift - the ability to sense other meteor-affected people, with a kind of a "freak-dar." When someone who is infected by meteors is in his vicinity, they glow green in his eyes.

UPDATED 11/25/06: Title Posted. Please do not post this on other websites without a link back to KryptonSite.com.

Episode #6-16: "Promise" Tentative Air Date: Late Mar. 2007

UPDATED 1/19/07: This is the Lex and Lana wedding episode. Though, the episode (and #6-17 "Combat") will be airing in late March as opposed to February.

UPDATED 1/16/07: Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.

UPDATED 1/12/07: This might be the Lex and Lana wedding episode (See Rumorville). However, TV Guide's Mike Ausiello seems to think that just because there's a wedding, that doesn't necessarily mean that anyone is getting married.

UPDATED 12/28/06: Title Posted. Please do not post this title on other websites without a link back to KryptonSite.com.

Look at this.

WWE stars Kane and Ashley Massaro recently shot an episode this week in Canada. No word yet on the characters or when the episode will air, but speculation is that they will both be Phantom Zone villains set to appear in the up-coming 17th episode of season 6 titled "Combat".

As you may recall, WWE World champion Batista appeared as a Phantom Zone villain earlier this season.
