It's about a group of different people from different areas of the world who have different powers and must come together to save New York from getting nuked.
One guy has the power to fly. He's a politician hoping to get elected so he wants to keep his powers secret. His brother is kind of like X-men's Rogue, if he's around another hero, he gets their power.
The best character on the show is a Japanese dude, named Hiro who is a super big sci-fi and comic book fan. He has the power to stop time.
Right now the key to saving the future seems to be relying on their ability to save the cheerleader who has the power to heal rapidly, kind of like Wolverine.
