The sequel to "Superman Returns," which grossed nearly $200 million in the U.S. this year, will likely hit theaters in 2009, University of Hawai'i Academy for Creative Media director Chris Lee confirmed today.
Its going to be vague like the first one, in other words its going to be more lame.

I can't wait to see this film, and no it will not be lamer than Superman Returns, which wasn't lame at all. In a summer of Pirates, talking cars, and a certain little ship called Poseidon sinking, this was arguably one of, if not the, best movie of the summer.

All right, back to the sequel, if there will a lot more action in this film, there has to be an adversary or two, right? My money is on either Brainiac or Doomsday, both great villians and both characters that would be interesting to see on screen fighting their arch enemy.

THe superman returns sequal, if I remember right, (I have limited acces on this computer,) had a rumor that it will have something to go with Brainiac. (Of course lex will be in it somewhere).
Now I'm not sure many people noticed this but at the very Beginning of Superman Returns, it zooms past many different planets. One of them In particular standed out to me with "fire pits" on it. Kudos to those who can guess it.

Darkseid in the new Superman movie.....Might be interesting, but then it might not. You have to take into account that he would be a major villian and Superman has been known not to take him alone. He usually brings some friends to help him. But seeing a all out brawl with Big Blue and Darkseid would pretty awesome. But what ever may happen Big Blue will prevail in the end.

I'm sure John Williams score will be used. It's been a few months since I watched Superman Returns, but I could have sworn they did use John Williams Superman theme a lot. They do have a new guy named John Ottman to compose the music. more on the Superman Returns Soundtrack __________________
