Update on the 4th issue of Time-Rider. I've gotten about 10 pages or so done now. It's going to be sort of a Marvel Comics type meeting between Ohm and Time-Rider with a misunderstanding at first which equals a battle until the real villain shows up.
The villain plays a major role in Time-Rider's future. __________________

I forgot to tell you guys that I'm making up my own superhero, I'm trying to make him up on the Who Wants To Be A Superhero hero machine, this is what I've come up with so far.

Those are my ideas so far, does anyone have any suggestions? __________________THE ITALIAN SUPERMAN

I'm trying to create my own superhero because I want to create my own comic book company and my own comic books, so I need a superhero, I thought that Super Speedster was better, I think I might have him star in my comic books. __________________THE ITALIAN SUPERMAN

uhm, yeah first: narrow your stuff to one post, it's easier to read and not as annoying, you'll get flammed on other boards if you double psot to much.
2nd, come up with an orginal idea and post it each time you have one, and me or anyone else will see if it's been done and/or rate it. (Note I will judge based on current comics so it might be a little harsh, just fair warning)
third, I'd create a story line after you have a character and write a few chapters before trying to make it a comic. I have a whole season (15 chapters) done with Ohm and I'm on season 2. __________________"Any man can overcome adversity. If you truly want to test a man's character, give him power."

I love that question.
1. It's almost a must you read 'Understanding Comics' by Scott McCloud. Click the link to see what I'm talking about.
http://www.scottmccloud.com/store/books/uc.html
2. Read every type of comic you can afford to get your hands on. This includes things you probably wouldn't normally read. The wider your personal reference for different styles of art, layout and story-telling; the easier to find your own vision and voice.
3. Creating a whole comic company is a very tall order, try starting with just the character.
4. You could try creating the villain or situation the hero must overcome before even settling on the hero(es). There are times when the character creates the story and equally when the story creates the character.
5. To paraphrase Yoda: 'Don't try. Do.' Just keep writing until you find a comfortable level for yourself. Show it to everyone who will look at it and (most of the time) accept criticism as help.
6. Usually basing your art merely on what's popular only creates very pale reflections or even poor parody. The really popular stuff is usually popular because of it's own particular originality.
See ya in the funny pages.... __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr Creedy and ideas are bulletproof.

Hey Tim, I have a question, how do you make a computer animated comic book like you are doing with Time Rider, I don't know how, can you please tell me? __________________THE ITALIAN SUPERMAN

mabey you should wait till you're a little older...like out of college? That's how long I'm waiting.
and uhm, super speedester, (judging my the name) has been done, Flash, Impulse. Inertia, Quicksilver, (an technically Ohm) so I'd go with the other one.
making the 3D computer comics online is with a program called something or other, Tim'll tell you. It's exspensive, and only should be bought if your serious about this. You're young enjoy life before you gotta start working. I;d also suggest writing chapters like i did to get a sort of "feel" for your character, and his/hers villians.
Also change Victory Man's name, it's been done. __________________"Any man can overcome adversity. If you truly want to test a man's character, give him power."

I use Poser for the characters, and then Adobe Photoshop to put everything together like finishing touches on costumes and adding backgrounds and special effects.
Poser can also be used to add backgrounds, as well as a another cool program called Bryce which I've used to create futuristic buildings.
You better talk to your parents before spending a lot of dough on programs like this. Some of the websites that promote free figures to be used for Poser are a bit mature in content for kids as well. I'd say some of them push a R rating. So you have to watch out for those sites.
There are college classes now on 3d animation which Poser can also be used to create. I almost took one, but haven't quite got the time. __________________

Thanks Tim, I did ask my grandfather about making a comic on the computer, he said it's ok, but I have to tell him that it costs money, if he agrees I'll tell you and you can tell me how to use it. __________________THE ITALIAN SUPERMAN

Aero, I searched the internet for Super Speedster and Victory Man and nothing came up, which means that those names weren't taken and I just proved you wrong. __________________THE ITALIAN SUPERMAN
