I just hope it ain't Jonathan. I know it's not Martha or Lana based on the past Superman continuity.
So it's either Jonathan or Chloe since she was never really part of the official Superman continuity anyway.
Unless they pull a fast one and introduce a new character that Clark can befriend just to lose. That's always a possibility. __________________
It just wouldent be right if its Jonathan. He is such a good part of the story, and so is Chloe. I would hate to see either one of them go.To be honest i don't want to see anyone go.

I agree if they get rid of either Jonathan or Chole that would really suck. Jonathan is such a huge part of Clarks life and helps him through alot, I would hate to see him go.
Chloe's character has matured so much and I really enjoy her character alot more than i used to, so i dont wanna see her go either. __________________

I bet it's gonna be either Jonathan or Chloe. It might be Jonathan because he died in the old comics and the movie but it might be Chloe because I remember reading a year or so ago that by the end of the Smallville series we would know why Chloe isn't in the comics or movies(besides the fact that they just made her up for the show).

I hate to say it, but i hope its Chloe instead of Pa Kent. He is just a huge part of Smallville. It would be a mistake.

I would rather have chloe go than Jonathan, but that's because I've been a fan of Bo Kent since the Duke boy days. I would hate to see Chloe go too though. She has matured so much since her whiney days. I almost wish she would get together with Clark. __________________
I'm betting it's Pete. He's expendable, since he hasn't been around since season 3.
I don't think they would kill off a major, CURRENT character this early in the season. That's just my opinion...

josh Pete is a good guess. The only problem is that Pete didn't die in the comics. Of course Pete was white in the comics so maybe the comics don't matter as much as you would think.
Tom42, your right the person will probably go at the end of the season for a cliffhanger. __________________
I just read somthing on another site saying that the person close to Clark that will die is going to happen in the 12 episode of season 5 because thats the 100 episode of Smallville. Alfred Gough also said that there will be more than one major death in the epsiode. __________________

More than one. They don't have that many cast members! That's not good at all.
I hate this new death craze TV has. It's one thing to do it unexpectedly, but now every show is killing off people. __________________
I know i couldnt beleieve it either when it said more than one person. Hopefully what you said is right and someone new comes onto the show for a few episodes and they are atleast one of the people that die.
I dont see how they could kill off any of the characters they are all important to the show. __________________

Well from what i remember in the comics..pete doesn't die, he gets married with lana and they have a kid..and pa kent doesn't die before the mom. but both of the kent parents die before clark leaves smallville to the city

i think it will be pa kent simply because of Superman Returns, they dont want it to conflict with the show cus pa kent is dead in the movie.

they is bryan singer and thats the reason why the creators of smallville went to australia to talk to him bryan singer about making sur eeverything ties in well, and superman returns is number 5 meaning a sequel so pa kent is dead in the movie
