I've seen two things repeated often after the finale.
1)People assume that she is referring to Sawyer when she says to Jack "he'll be wondering where I am".
2)Why isn't she in jail?

I'm not 100% convinced she means Sawyer-it could really be any man from the island(even Ben or Richard-believe it or don't), someone who hasn't been introduced, or (brace yourselves) Edward Mars, the marshall who was bringing her back to the states in season 1. I already hear the 'but, he's dead!' responses coming. Nonetheless, if my theory plays out, noone who has 'died' on the island since the crash of 815 is actually dead.

My two small pieces of evidence toward that conclusion involve Mikhail returning from the dead twice already and the episode 'flashes before your eyes'. That's the one that shows what happened to Desmond after blowing up the swan hatch-he runs into Charlie and remembers the island through flashes, while Charlie thinks he's a loon on drugs.

That's all I want to really say about my main theory for now. It's really involved and I haven't got all of it fleshed out yet.

See I was thinking about my past theory what if they changed the past, so they are in a different present, one where Jack's dad is alive, and maybe even Kate's dad she killed. Maybe just maybe, Kate's dad is the one that Kate's worried about.

Also something to ponder. Didn't Kate look a little younger, and besides the beard seemed like Jack was a little younger too?

Like why would Jack want to go back so bad unless reality was somehow worse than it was before? You know how time travel shows usually have changes create paradoxes that make some things better and other things twice as bad.

You might be right about the not dying thing. Something is keeping Mikhail alive. That guy ain't right. I want to know why Ben killed all those people. What purpose did that serve, and what about that latin guy that played Batmanuel on the Tick? How come he doesn't age?

I can't help with Tick questions, I barely remember that show.

Kate looked a bit different because of access to (lotsa) makeup. Jack's beard looks a bit darker, but if you look close it's got plenty of grey in it.

I really don't think time travel plays any part of the show at all. There are however numerous paradoxes like how Ben aged to his 40's and Richard looks the same age as when Ben first met him and how Des remembered the island in his (let's just call it a flash as it didn't seem to go back or forward, just concurrent) 'flash' after turning the key and destroying the hatch- he keeps getting all these reminders of the numbers, and events from on the island as a memory. Yet, Charlie has absolutely no recollection of him at all, of the island at all, and now with the finale, his drowning in the looking glass. When he gets whacked in the bar he wakes up back on the island!

Bottom line? Somehow these people are living two lives at once. Alas.....I've said too much.....

The first episode Des got the flashes where they went back recapped Des's life and he ended up chickening out on getting married, that episode gave me the impression he was somehow reliving events over and over again.

Richard that's the guy's name I was trying to think of. I looked it up he's Nestor Carbonell in real life and also aka Batmanuel from the Tick TV series
