Quote: Who dumped the loader? hehehehe!!! Dad did it, he was operating the tractor without my supervision (no pun intended ) and did not have the tractor lined up right when he drove forward. So, the front wheel went into the hole he was digging, and vola, tractor in a hole!! No worries, we got the tractor out.
Quote: Cool farm, nice big green grass! Yup, we have roughly 40 acres back home. I'm looking forward to getting back home for the 4th of July and eating some grapes from the orchard!!
Quote: Funny also we have so many of those blossoming cherry trees up here in Victoria!!! Technically, they call it a flowering peach tree, but that's cool. Maybe you're confusing it with the cherry trees that are found in Washington, D.C.?
Quote: Thanks for sharing...do you have any of your town/city and What city center are you closer to? Hmm, I don't think I have any pictures of Effingham, SC with me up here at my apartment in North Carolina. Effingham is a really small town, when I say small I mean we have one traffic light in town!! There's not much in the way of commerce except for a cannery that is owned by the Swinks. There used to be a really neat country store ran by Ed Gelispie, but he passed away near on seventeen years ago. Now the old store has been converted to an antiques shop that Mrs. Swink runs. The closest city to us is Florence, SC. However, even it does not have much to see in the way of architechture. It's big "bragging" points are Francis Marion University, named after "The Swamp Fox" Francis Marion from the Revolutionary War and McLeod Hospital (where I was born BTW ). The have tried having hockey played at the Florence Civic Center, but it has never been NHL level teams and it has not done much over the years.
I have not taken many pictures of the area I'm in now, Morrisville, NC. I will have to remember to try to get some pictures of the American Tobacco Market the next time I get over there. Although, it is over in Durham, and I rarely to ever go there. As I did back home in Effingham, I am content with being at home. __________________The Bible is so powerful. Quote: So cool....Do you have a horse? We used to have horses. Our last one died while I was in high school, though she was over 30 years old. I'll have to see if I can find some pictures of them in our old photo albums now that I'm back home.

Quote: So what year is it, Motor, Trans, etc. It's a 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with a 305 V8 that came with the Cross-Fire Injection. It was one of the first electronic fuel injections instead of a manual carberatuer. It has a 5-speed automatic L4 transmission in it. I bought the car with 90,000 original miles and have had the transmission and engine completely overhauled.
That's a sweet M'tang you've got there Bob!! I know it'll be a blast to drive when you've got it finished. __________________The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf. It's to outline even the simplest scriptures that can mean so much in building yourself up.

Quote: I am surprised you didn't drop a 350 in the pontiac. I am building a 408 stroker (351) windsor motor with a set of after market Cleveland heads. It's going to be a crazy ride when it's done. Well, the car originally came with the 305. I bought the car from its third owner, and he passed along all the documentation for it, including a copy of the original window sticker - kind of cool. Now, I'll confess that I thought about dropping in a turbo-charged 405 and running nitrous-oxide in for kicks, but I thought that might be overdoing it!! Besides, the 305 does a surprisingly good job of leaving the rubber on the pavement, and it gets a little better gas mileage than a 350. The friend of mine, Damion, works at a shop with a guy that is building a custom camero to run in that big cross-country race that runs through arizona. Anyhow, this guy claims he's going to bore a 305 out to make over 333 HP!!!! This guy really sounds like he knows his stuff, with cam ratios, pinion setups, and other stuff that would take me a couple of decades to learn!!
Anyhow, the 351 you've got lined up for your car sounds great!! Have fun man!! __________________The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf. It's to outline even the simplest scriptures that can mean so much in building yourself up.

My brother, Jerry, made down here to the farm in South Carolina about 6 last night with our latest "toy". We bought a 1972 Ford Snorkel fire truck off of ebay. The truck was in a small town up in Pennsylvania called Slickville. Jerry flew up to PA Thursday. He got to stop by a fire house on the way back that used to run the truck (with his video camera) to find out all he could about it/how to operate it. Anyhow, Jerry had a safe trip down here and we've called the local fire house here and found that there is a repair service that repairs firetrucks not too far from us, which really works out great. The truck has a 500 gallon water tank on it, and the big reason we got it is the bucket on the truck that will let us get up to cut out limbs on the trees. Interestingly, I thought the lettering on the truck would be decals, but no it is painted on. My first thought is to, when I get back to the apartment with my computer w/photoshop is to alter the photos so instead of "Slickville" would say "Smallville". Anyhow, here's some pics. Jerry's wife's mom gave them the U.S. flag.
