Well the last time I reviewed a Superman comic we started a massive debate on everything from creation vs evolution to global warming. The topic from that book was religion, but this one Action 851 is nothing but fun. It's classic Superman with half the book in 3D. The part that's in 3d is the Superman in the Phantom Zone bit.
This is much better than the last time they had 3d mixed with Superman. I vaguely remember a 3d cover and a 3d 1950's or 1960's reprint in black and white. That was back when Superman was made of electricity and broke into two Supermen for a little while. I think that was back in the 1990's.
Anyway the 3D really works great here. Very neat. Of course it's to be continued. I don't want to give away too much but it looks like for Action Comics Annual #11 we are going to be seeing Lex Luthor teaming up with Superman along with a few others to take on Zod.
Reminds me of the old days when the Dukes of Hazzard would team up with Rosco to fight the bad guy of the week. Sorry wrong show. Well it did have Bo Kent. __________________

Forgot to mention Richard Donner is back on this one. Strange but he must have had some scheduling conflicts with all those filler issues coming right in the middle of his phantom zone story.
Here's the cover of Action 851
Also beware I've read there are two versions. One isn't in 3d. __________________
