The Kingdom Come Superman version returns along with artist Alex Ross. The Kingdom Come Superman of course lived in a grim future, an alternate future of the DC universe. The 1996 mini series brought to life by artist Alex Ross became an instant classic. KC Superman finds his way to the regular DC universe in Justice Society #9 plucked from the original Kingdom Come storyline.

Geoff Johns told Wizard magazine that this Justice Society story is the opposite of Infinite Crisis. "In that, we had a Superman come here and look down on our world, judging it unfavorably. This Superman sees our world as almost being heaven."

Ross pointed out to Wizard Magazine that while the Superman who joins the Justice Society arrives from the world of Kingdom Come, he comes from a point before the story concluded, a crucially important distinction.

Hmm..

Clark Kent (CK/KC) Kingdom Come

Sorry, between Lost and that Number 23 movie I'm looking for coincidence everywhere...

I'm surprised you didn't mention the similarity between KC Kingdom Come and KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken. Sorry I'm always thinking about chicken.
Lost is good, I was thinking about watching 23. Is that any good, I mean does it have an ending that makes sense. About every movie I've seen lately leaves you hanging, ends badly for the main character, and just makes me wish I never bothered. It's like the shock surprising bad ending isn't a shock ending anymore. I expect it to end bad for the characters. I'm shocked when it's a happy ending. That is unless it's a big sequel blockbuster type movie. They usually have happy endings.

My honest opinion of the Number 23;

Jim Carrey probably does some of his absolute best drama work in this flick. He's a villain at some points, totally dark and compelling. At other points he's plays the everyman perfectly.

All the coincidence associated with the number and the 'story within a story' are interesting enough but the movie itself is unnecessarily violent(even vulgar) in parts- though this might be attributed to me watching the unrated version instead of theatrical release. The worst offense is a silly plot twist towards the end that takes what starts as an awesome flick and sends it on a downward spiral.

Watch it for the performances, the extras about numerology, or the slasher stuff if that's your thing. The story is about the same level as a Shamalayan flick-that twist ending thing that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. You guys might enjoy it more than I did.

Sounds too bloody for me. So does it have a bad ending though. Like in general is it a happy ending would you say or a depressing ending?

It is a bit bloody, but then again I watched the unrated. As for what happens, you'd have to watch it yourself to draw a conclusion. I'll put it this way, wrong things happen and wrongs are set right and it's neither happy or depressing. Hope that clears it up for you.

Actually I'd say you have a great career ahead of you in politics with an answer like that.

I'm just going to guess that some characters ended up happy and others didn't.

I'm a little reluctant to watch it. I like Jim Carrey movies for the most part even the weird ones, but I'm not much in the mood for blood even with the rated one it's liable to be yulk. I like cartoon violence where details are left out, way out.

Just read it, and it's not giving out a lot of details but it's still pretty interesting. Love the parallel world stories.

i've got both issues. the alex ross one and the variant. but i gotta say, the variants really suck. the covers are crap. how do you have a variant to an alex ross cover anyway? you can't top perfection. although, there is an "Invaders/Avengers" comic coming out in january by alex ross but with michael turner variants and his stuff is pretty good too. my favorites are probably alex ross, michael turner (lots of copycats to his work), david finch (he did the WWHulk covers)jim lee, romita jr. is still pretty good. he did the variants to finchs WWHulk covers. there's quite a few good artists these days.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the Invaders/Avengers book. It's just the kind of story I love. Time travel and all.

Have you ever figured out why some of the mini series never finish like Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine, or the Onslaught Return series. At least I don't think they've ever finished that one. I think they should start a policy that the entire series be finished before they start releasing it.
