Episode 7-7 Spoilers:

Quote:
Guest Stars: Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel)

- UPDATED 9/10/07 (Thanks T.F.!): Thanks to an accident, Lana has Clark's powers!
- Clark learns what Lana has been hiding from him.
- Lana behaves a bit recklessly with this power and her behavior disturbs both Lex and Clark. Could the honeymoon already be over?
- The power-transference inspires a mention of Eric Summers, though sadly, Jimmy's not around to hear about his lookalike, as Aaron Ashmore is not in this episode.

It's an opinion- we'll have to watch and see.

That would then have to apply to the entire series, it's retelling the story of Clark Kent.

Um, no.

That kid Eric took his powers way back when, Lionel swapped bodies with him, and now Lana gets to take those powers for a test drive. That's a hat trick.
It's a three-peat within the series.

I hope I'm wrong.

Not as much so, but Lana also took Clark's Heat vision in "thirst".

gotta agree with Pak on this one, doesn't sound to original.  Hopefully they can pull it off with a few good lines or something.

Again, every story that's told in Smallville has been told in some form in a different Superman series (i.e. film, television, novel, comics).  So if you are that tired of the story, why bother spending your time on it??

Not exactly.

The writers of Smallville have done a very good job on giving us original content for the plot of Smallville Chloe for example.  Granted there are a few things that have been repeated but have turned out jus find.

It's those small inconsistantly repeated scenarios such as Lana being possesed or Clark switching powers with someone on the show that get old after 4-5 episodes of it.

And DH, you should know by now, seing as I repeat myself of this at least 1 a month, that Smallville can not be compared to Movies/comics/novels/etc.

It's not that story elements aren't necessarily unique to the show DH. It's not even that the story elements aren't new to Superman or even comics.
It's those elements being repeated in lieu of a fresh perspective. Maybe when Lana gets his powers it will be the most amazing and original thing we've ever seen. I'm very doubtful on this. It is signifying to me that they are running out of ideas of what to do with the characters, which will end the show prematurely and on a sour note. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
