Welcome back.
What's basically in store for each of them?
Peter Petrelli: Presumed dead after blast in space. His role as linchpin for group is up for grabs. TK(Tim Kring, creator) says his fate is a mystery but his fate could be guessed at by his various powers.
Nathan Petrelli: Last minute turn to save the day landed him on side of angels. Or did it? TK says he's a complicated character with many skeletons in his closet. Something always brings him back to the darker side.
Hiro Nakamura: Stuck in feudal Japan, he'll have to find his warrior heart fast or face his end at a katana blade. TK says he's continuing his hero's journey, growing, maturing and deepening.
Claire Bennet: Sought after by the Company, she remains torn between finding out the truth and being reunited with her adopted father. TK says she'll struggle especially with the idea of having a normal life, when it's anything but and we will see a high school drama play out with her and a love interest.
HRG(Noah Bennet): In murdering his boss at the Company, he has to go AWOL to save his family. TK says he's a guy trying to hold his family together with a sense of normalcy while having one foot still in that world of the Company.
Sylar: After Hiro ke-bobs him he disappears into the sewers, we think. TK says he's not the same guy as last season and the fun will be watching him get his 'mojo' back.
Matt Parkman: Four bullets to the chest say he's a goner but a pregnant wife gives him something to fight for. TK says his fate is unknown but when we pop back in on our characters, it's four months later for most and there are questions as to how these characters get there with the fate of Matt as part of that puzzle.
Niki/Jessica Sanders: Her violent alter-ego in check, she strives to keep her family together at the risk of it driving her insane. TK says her family issues were mostly resolved so she'll get to start in a fresh place next season as they explore her mental illness further.
Micah Sanders: With his power to control machines now known, he learns that communicating with machines is easier than communicating with his parents. Tk says the expectations the viewers have with the characters are going to be greatly toyed with and two shows into the season, we will be asking very different questions about what his role in the show is.
DL Sanders: Reunited with his family, killed Linderman and got shot ensuring a rough road ahead. TK says the only pressing matter right now is that shot to the breadbasket which is no small thing at all.
Mohinder Suresh: Finally uncovering the true purpose of his father's work, he must now carve out his own path. TK says he's much more focused and driven and in the first two minutes of the first episode he will lay out that drive for the audience. __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh.
