hi there!

Clarks father is gonna die... its gonna be someone he loves and we all know lanas not gonna die cuz shes in later epesodes, so that narrows it down to his parents and chloe... his father is already dying so hes gonna kill off now. I think it would be a lil strange that 2 people that clark loves dies in the show. and we all know his dad is dying already

you never know

hmmmm....good point i guess, but is his father actually dying?
Posted:  23 Nov 2005 00:54
No, Jonathan has a weak heart thanks to Jor-El, but he's not necessarily dying.

Just joining the discussion group.  You have to look at where the storyline is going, and what everybody's assumptions are as to where the story will end.  Supposedly, Clark and Lois will end up together, Lois will be a top investigative reporter for the Daily Planet, and Clark will maintian his secret identity as Superman from Lois until they develop a romanitc relationship.  I think that Chloe will be the one to go.  Something has to happen to drive Lois to take the final step to become a journalist.  Her charecter has shown promise working with both Chloe and Clark, as seen is several episodes.  Her charecter was introduced in the series to search for the supposed murderer of her cousin, so she has a great loyalty to Chloe.  Could Chloe's death be a catalyst for her transition, as well as her motivation for a "take no prisoners" attitude?  We have already seen that she has a vulnerable side to "superheroes" who save her (AC, aka Aquaman), so will Superman save her in the future?  I would not like to see Alison Mack leave the series.  She is a beautiful and talented actress.  The notion that "Chloe's ghost" or more accurately her memory, drives Lois in her quests could let her at least finish the season in a series of "ghost over my shoulder" scenes or maybe even conversations in Lois' head.  Jonathan Kent's charecter is the most misunderstood.  Although his charechter was killed in the movie series, he was integral in "Lois and Clark" and was in the comic book series.  Most notably, he has a role in the novelization "The Death and Life of Superman", written based on the "Doomsday" storyline in DC Comics.  I guess that only the writers know for sure...

Highest possibility to die is Jor-EL.
Why? Some close to clark will be sacrificed.

Why not sacrifice his own self for his own son, his will still continues through. Has anyone forgotten that Clark's biological mom was mentioned in one of the series? Laura.

If Jor-El, dies, Laura might appear to help Clark embrace his journey and destiny. A mothers love will always find a place in a sons heart. Eventually clark might even lend an ear to learn about the truth of Krypton from his mother, Laura.

I'm not that good at Superman mythology, but from the 1st Superman movie, Laura was at the Fotress of Solitude to guide him in his journey.

So from here I assume, Laura was not in any of the previous Smallville episodes because Clark has not found the Fotress of Solitude yet. He was still in the caves, for which Jor-El is there.

So if Jor-El dies, Laura might show up in the Fotress instead.

So for the 2 deaths in the episode theory, Jor-El is going to die in Lionel's body, which also makes lionel dead.

Those are my views.

yes i hope laura is in more episodes, she could make a big difference. we've only gotten a bad vibe about clark's parents. bout time we get a good one!!

True, that's why I kept speculating that Zod was impersonating Jor-El. I just can't figure out why Jor-El is being portrayed as so hard core. He's supposed to be a lot like Jonathan not like a commie dicator or something.

What about Lois dying and Clack bringing her back to life? It could be the beggining of the relashion they have later. And Jor-El maybe is training Kal-El to hate dictators, who knows

bufalo has a good point, that did happen in the movies but then again, the show is not like the movies or comics. anyways thats interesting.

Wow thats a good theory.  I never thought about that.  That could be true.

Could be cuase he might of sacrificed him self so that his only son could live on and protect the world.

well, it's possible, except that jor-el isn't really close to clark, besides from being his bioloical father, clark knows nothing about him.

You can email them to me and I'll put them on the server and post them for you.
