As I recall, Krypton did tell Kavitha how he felt, it did not go too well.

How can the weather in winter bring out fires? It's so bloody cold in Winnipeg or Winterpeg! What's up with that? Geeze I'd think that back there in the prairies during the blazing hot and dry summers you'd have your fire break outs. Man you guys get some crazy ass thunder and lightning storms out that way in the Summer.

Didn't you get a big tornado this year too? Man Victoria's weather is so boring!!! Talking about Victoria's weather. I found all my photographs from 1996 when we had the big blizzard. We got 5 feet of snow. The last time it happened was in 1916 fifty years earlier. We get huge huge rain storms up here and I guess once in fifty years if they hit when we get an artic air pushing down on us it's massive snow time!

I'll get them scanned and share them with you guys!

when it's cold people use heat--which leads to accidents.

Well said Aero.
You cannot believe how sad it is too see that people have to use kerosene heaters etc just to keep warm.
Slumlords and the utility companies should be shot.
Heck, we had a fire one night where the guy was trying to keep warm with candles and a small newspaper fire in a pot. Unfortunately he fell asleep...forever. At least everyone else in the tenement got out OK.
Plus the cold leads to delays in us getting there and getting water on the fire quicker. When everyone is all hunkered down out of the weather it's that many more eyes that are not catching sight of a fire to report it more quickly, and every minutes delay is that much more time for the fire to grow bigger. Then we get freezing hydrants and freezing hoses, well I guess you get the picture. There are times I sure wish I could be Superman. We do the best we can though
Keep those batteries in your smoke detectors changed, they are like having Superman watching over you while you sleep !!
Take care Y'all (there you go DH)

God!  Sooo much snow and me sooo cold.  Yes I was in that area.  I haven't thawed out YET! If you want mega- snow, that is the place for you!  LOL
Posted:  23 Jan 2008 20:54
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That's funny. I guess it's up in the mountains. I never really thought about it getting lots of snow. I like it up there though I've only been a couple of times. But Whistler is closer to me. Actually there is a mountain on the island here called Mt Washington it's a great ski hill to mountain tops huge runs. It's currently got the deepest snow base of any ski hill in the world right now. My brother just went up for a day as it's only three hours from here. He was complaining that his legs were sore so I was teasing him a bit about it. Though I know he did a bunch of the really tough black diamond runs. My brother can be crazy sometimes!

I haven't been skiing for so long!!! hmmm  maybe I should go before the end of the season.  Interesting thought...I'll have to see when I'm completely feeling better, still haven't kicked this bug completely yet. Grrrr.

Sorry I'm laughing at you but hey what can you do right! too funny!

It's just a figure of speech Shadow, Scaper did not mean it literally!!

Let's hope not. I just took a little trip because I was feeling "down" and I came back feeling good, and I just said, it was cold,(it really  was) but I hadn't made a bad choice going.(I don't think)
I really don't make bad choices, or dumb choices that would cause me to do things "not right". My life is good, but I just had a couple bad days and thought a change might do me good to cheer me up.
So I didn't get the "joke" that is what happened here.  No problem, if I see I am depressed about it, I'll just buy another airline ticket. cause that is the "right" thing to do

Don't worry about it Shadow, I have a hard time figuring out Scaper's humor sometimes!!

Awe, Sorry Shadow. No I'm not laughing at you in a bad way. You're so cool! I was laughing cause the way you said I haven't thawed you yet. Like a friend laughing at a friend, friendly fun teasing. Like I teased my brother about having sore legs from skiing. I think it's awesome you decided to get away from a stressful day. That's so therapeutic and definitely a good decision. I'm sorry if my laughing comment came across as being rude or judgemental, it most certainly wasn't intended to be. Funny I questioned whether I should have poked fun at your being overly frozen state. As it's not funny that you were so cold....hmmmmm maybe Dman's right in it's hard to see my humor sometimes.

Give you an idea from my own life... We were playing ice hockey this one day, my Dad, brother and I were all playing. It was a fun game and my brother and I were on one team and my Dad was on the opposing team. Well I was on the bench and my Dad and brother were on the ice. My Dad had the puck and was skating into our end of the ice but he had his head down while carrying over the blue line, my brother (see how bad this is... I'm laughing while writing this...) skated up pretty hard and hip checked my Dad but bent down and swung his but and hips out. While my poor Dad did a complete 360 degree flip over my brother and landed on his back. Now I know it's not funny cause my Dad broke a blood vessel in his back..But oh my I couldn't help it, it looked so funny! Half the players on our bench were laughing so hard but he my Dad was so angry! I can't help it sometimes...maybe I need to work on my sensitivity in this area, but even when we all talk about that hockey game we all laugh and laugh at Dad breaking a blood vessel in his back...Well he laughs at it now, but wow at the time!!!

So again I'm sorry for the tease, your a great girl, and I enjoy our online friendship. Hopefully you understand and or forgive me hey! And getting away like that is the best thing you can do! Awesome on you for that too!

Well, I'm glad your not still mad at me!

I'm sorry to hear you're still feeling cold and fighting the flu. I have to tell you, I haven't been to a Doctor or the Hospital in ten years, but I had to go to the clinic on the weekend as I couldn't hear out my right ear and I had a small pain in my left ear. I've still not fully recovered from what I picked up after Christmas. I've only worked a few days, a couple of hours here and there. Not good. I still feel it in my asaphogus I just hate it cause I'm such an energetic person. I've just come to terms that I guess I need the rest and have been keeping myself busy at home, posting on here , building my models, playing with Jasper and finding fun things to do. I've even emailed David probably three times a day back and forth over the last few days.

Anyways I hope you don't get anything like I've got, not good at all. Keep warm and rested! I wouldn't beat yourself up over going rock climbing though. That sounded like a fun thing to do, let alone a good stress release. Nothing clears the head from stress better than a good work out or Rock Climbing!!! or maybe a hockey game for me!

Anyways I really hope you do feel better, I'll send some prayers and thoughts of quick healing, and comfort in your discomfort!!!

Thanks for forgiving to hey!

Bob

Thanks,--anyway I wasn't mad just more confused over what you said, more like "What the hell"???  And maybe because at the time, I beginning to feel pain in my ear and not my cheerful self..  I just don't know how that ear ache could come out of nowhere.  Weird.  I am going to try about 3 Advil and see if I can get to sleep.  Thnks for the thoughts
Did your flu start with an earache?  It sounds like you have been sick too long.  That isn't at all good.  Are you run down?  Maybe you need vitamins?  me too.

Good call on the vitamins, I need to take them. No it started with a cold, sore throat, dizzy, sinus etc. Then four days later I got the flu ( I think it was seperate from the cold) Throwing up, just feeling awful. The flu I got over, but my cold lingered for a while, and then I got this ear blockage. My sister has had a bad ear infection to, and the doctor told her it's from her sinus infection from her cold she had. Mine was just fluid behind the ear channel from my sinus cold. It's a nasty one. Anyways I took sudafed (sp?) and it's cleared up my hearing problem. But my energy level hasn't returned completely!  Though I know I'm feeling better than I was last week. I think I'm on the tail end of this thing. I rarely get sick and if I do I'm over so quickly. I also really pushed myself almost too hard before Christmas on that large Landscaping job. I know I was pretty tired from that, so maybe my body needed a rest too. In someways it's been nice not working at all. My clients are all pretty good about it. So even if I take another week off, I'm not stressing over it. The breaks been nice. I also still get my monthly contract payments too so even though my incomes down I still have money coming in. Oh well, I'll see how I feel next week!

I truely hope you feel better. If your ears are bothering you, you may want to try that sudafed it really helped me a lot. I hope you have medical insurance down there, if you do you should go see a doctor in case you have an ear infection. Always take care of your ears!

Anyways I'm praying that you feel better!

Thanks for the smiles Kellen!
