Check it out!!
The CW's Official Description: "Lara"
Airs November 1, 2007 on The CW
FEATURE FILM SUPERGIRL HELEN SLATER FLIES INTO SMALLVILLE AS LARA KENT — Clark (Tom Welling) learns Kara (Laura Vandervoort) is in Washington searching for the crystal. Kara is captured after she breaks into the lab and sedated with a kryptonite-infused truth serum. The serum causes her to relive a prior trip to Earth when she followed Clark’s biological mother, Lara (gust star Helen Slater), to the Kent farm. Clark arrives in time to save her but, after searing the machine with heat vision, he also falls victim to the serum and sees what Kara sees: his mother. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and John Glover also star. James Conway directed the episode written by Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson (#3T6305).

Since Helen Slater is going to be on Smallville let's look at some Helen Slater as Supergirl pics.
Official movie poster
Supergirl in the phantom zone fan art by Gus
She looks a lot like the actress from Smallville here.

OMG wait till you see. Seriously it was very cool to meet and work with Helen. See the writers figured it was time for Clark to meet his bioligical mother. And they figured the best person to do that was Helen considering she was the orginal upergirl and they were bringing Kara to the season.
I guess I could tell you guys this hopefully without getting into trouble. This season they want to bring in alot of perivous uper characters who used to play them.

Please explain how Lara will appear as Clark's biological mother. I have never seen her except in photos here and she doesn't look older than Clark.(much) I did not watch Smallville with regularity over the past years, more hit and miss. I am missing some of the structure of the basic evolution of the Krypton-Smallville foundation. So someone help me please to figure out why Clark's mother seems pretty young (at least from the pics Tim's shows. Maybe she'll be made up to be 50-something--maybe the actress IS 50-something!! I know Kara was in cryo-sleep for years, and maybe so was Lara???

Well Helen played supergirl a long time ago, so she's probably aged a bit. __________________"As long as you question your sanity, you will still have it." ~ Nightshade

No doubt after 23 years since she was in the movie , she can play Clark's mom alright! Ha Ha! I have seen "City Slickers" only and don't remember her in it.
Here is one more of my retardo questions, which might be only answered by speculation-----
They now have come up with evidence of another Kriptonian on earth. Will that just prove to be Lara, or do you think there is somebody ELSE skulking around? (Hopefully !! Becase That is an interesting storyline. I love to be kept guessing!!)
Things are good in Season 7 so far and I am glad that the Lex-Lana romance/baby/marriage crap/love-hate is OVER! Please God, let it stay done!!

Interesting thing is that if that item that Kara had found in the time capsule had belonged to either Lara or Zor-El, Kara should've recognized it.
Brainiac is apparently going to return, but he was just Zod's computer, so to speak-I don't think Brainiac has his own symbol/house. Maybe Zod is who it belonged to, which would fit in nicely with what I thought a while ago-Zod is the one who has been talking to Clark the fortress the whole time.
All just speculation, of course. __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr Creedy and ideas are bulletproof.

Not to argue, but think on this.
When Clark speaks to that voice in the fortress, it's in the present tense about present day people and present day events. Present day is many years after Jor-El died. I'm not too sure, but I don't think he was clairvoyant or able to speak from the grave. It could be artificial intelligence or whatever other device they want to use. I like that Zod could have been using him the whole time as it completely shades the entire series from the point he 'made' the fortress.
That's my two cents worth. __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr Creedy and ideas are bulletproof.

My madcow is giving me a run for the money this evening, so I do not remember the episode, but in one of them Jor-el's voice says in the fortress that he(it) is the artificial representation of Jor-el's memories/thoughts. __________________The Bible is so powerful. Sounds about right, but how would he be talking in the here and now about events that happened after he died, based on memory?
I'm sticking to the voice being Zod. __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr Creedy and ideas are bulletproof.

Quote: Sounds about right, but how would he be talking in the here and now about events that happened after he died More likely the a.i. that is "Jor-El" has the capability to extrapolate information for current events/events since Jor-El's passing (remember Kryptonians are/were an advancded civilization).
Quote: I'm sticking to the voice being Zod Not likely since Zod inhabited Lex, and was defeated when Clark used the crystal to remove Zod from Lex. __________________The Bible is so powerful. that'll be interesting, the "flashback" episodes are always interesting. this sounds really similar to the one in 3rd season where we met Jor-El

I am just convinced that voice is ZOD. I don't like Jor-El and I think it is because something tells me he is not the real thing. Just Wait! It will be Zod. Takin' bets

Could very well be and probably should be.
However...
Brainiac is still kicking around and if the general did escape once, he could do it a second time. __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr Creedy and ideas are bulletproof.

Anyone got any theories on who the kryptonian is who left the medallion on Earth? Mon-El is the only person I know of aside for Jor-El, but he was from the future... __________________"As long as you question your sanity, you will still have it." ~ Nightshade

Could he have left, and now we will see him return? I can't think of anyone who is here now that could be Kyrptonian, but they could make a big thing of someone, male or female--returning to Smallville from somewhere in space. And this is just to say to us there is another one here or someplace that will be figuring in to the show (THAT is for sure or they wouldn.t
have started it all) I really AM totally stumped tho, to be honest.

Quote: I hated that supergirl movie! Certainly seemed like they threw it together in a hurry. I too think they could have done a better job with it. __________________The Bible is so powerful.
