Quote: HAHAHAHA!!! That was funny! Really though, It was one of the better episodes for me!
Congrats on finally catching the Wednesday night airing on the A-Channel up in Canadia (I know, it's Canada, but a friend here at work calls it "Canadia" and for some reason that cracks me up ) Haha, I read up as to what all happened on the kryptonsite.com message boards. It sounds like I'll need to have my barf bag ready this evening!! Mwahahaha!!!! The reprieve to it is that this Lois seems to live up to her, um, reputation that we've all grown to expect!!! LOL!!! Gee, I hope we are not torturing Anna too much!! Although, I am sure she's probably swamped with all the wedding preparations!! __________________

"I am God's workmanship." (Ephesians 2:10)
"I have been redeemed and forgiven." (Colossians 1:14)
"I am the salt and the light of the earth." (Matthew 5:13-14)
The Wraith was pretty cool! Lana is flipping her lid man, I don't trust her a bit. Clark ought to have his head examined if he thinks there's not something weird going on with that girl. __________________
Isn't funny how Lionel has become the surrogate father to Clark?? Too bad they couldn't have kept Johnathan around for that job right? __________________

yeah, I think it was the worst move they ever made to take out John Schneider from the show. Makes me think though, why not bring him back? It's Smallville, anything is possible.
I do like the dynamic of seeing Lionel act like a good guy to Clark and then seeing the rage of Lex that Clark is more of a son to Lionel than he is. It's almost like they are brothers, but kind of like in the Cain and Abel sense. __________________
Did you catch the two different Biblical analogies in last night's episode? Lex compared himself to Paul I believe, and Lionel compared Clark and Lana to Samson and Delilah. __________________
I love Smallville for that. They've made reference to the prodigal son, To King David, and many other Biblical stories in the past. I always like it. There is the whole concept of Jorel sacrificing his only son to save the world and many more analogies as well. It always makes me smile.
I did love the Sampson and Delilah how fitting! hahaha __________________

Very good Tim!! Yes, Lex did make reference to St. Paul and his trek on the road to Damascus. Also, Lex talked to Clark about King David back in the 5th season episode, "Exposed". Pretty cool the writers are able to work in Biblical references in the stories. __________________

Funny the Luthors know so much about the Bible. I'd expect Lionel to use Biblical references to relate to Clark with his old fashioned upbringing, but Lex comparing himself to Paul shows just how much he thinks he is the good guy of the story. He just doesn't think he's justified he thinks his cause is a righteous cause. __________________
I don't think he thinks of himself as a good guy. I think he purposely uses biblical quotes and stories to try and portray himself to others as if he's the hero, while knowing full well he's trying to pull the wool over the eyes. He knows he's corrupt you can tell this by his conversations with his father where he tries to shift blame on Lionel for the lack of a wholesome father figure such as the one Clark had. In the end Lex is evil and he knows it! Like the Devil he tries to disguise himself as an angel of light!
I like the way that Smallville has created Lex. It's believable. He was bullied at school where Lex basically killing his friend. He saw mother kill his brother and his father blaming him for the act. He became obsessive compolsive searching for anything to give him meaning while really only deep down needing Family and love but never finds it. (I love the episode where he tells Lionel he loves him and Lionel's reaction) He finds some sort of meaning in Clarks friendship but his jealousy of Clarks life deepens the monster within, where he competes for everything until he tries to steal Lana from Clark but it's not enough as it drives him deeper into madness as he fakes her pregnancy and clones her DNA. and it goes on and on. Yet he shows off to everyone that he's the Saviour and is there to protect the world. This is where there is huge Biblical overtones Cause Jorel Sent his only son to Earth and it will Be Clark who saves us from Lex! Kinda cool! __________________

Biblical overtones create a larger than life effect for the entire story. __________________
Lana has a love-hate relationship wwith Lex, I saw that when he kissed her and she dropped what she was holding and kissed him back eagerly. Then she hit him (maybe because she was mad at herself) Who knows, they may get together and join forces for awhile, or to the very end of Smallville? Clark has to turn elsewhere anyway.
The episode was real good last night.

I'll agree with the exception of the Clark/Lana rompt in the barn - that was totally uncalled for. Why is it that television always wants to put the cart before the horse these days?? __________________

I too thought the scene was soooo stupid, not for the "passion" that is O.K. BUT for the earth rumblings and the bent weathervane; just ridiculous. Nobody really needed that much info;did they? I suppose it was for a laugh. Not really "romatic" though. Would you agree?

I agree I miss the old Superman morality where he waits to marry Lois Lane just fits his persona a lot better and makes a better example to kids watching. Leave the super sex jokes to parodies. __________________

Additional thoughts. Now we know that Lana went from what you call "Super-Sex" (OK I'll buy that!) to Lex's arms and was passionately kissing him! Time frame I think about 1/2 hour after that extaordinary sex scene? Lana must have quite an appitite for playing around.
Now, none can say Clark is innocent anymore either. When he marries, do you know for sure it will be Lois? Or will they "legalize" everything he did with Lana and have him marry her in Smallville scripts? (If there ever will be any more scripts--I am for the writers, and I hope that Smallville will continue for its many fans, including me!)
It still was a really mindboggling episode for me. I too, didn't care for the way the sex was portrayed. If it was romance/love I could say "o Kay they have loved eachother for years and are now adults--but not the way they did that!!! I say only romantic love could have saved the scene.
This is a good season. I think anyway, though.

I also thought the sex scene was absolutely unessasary and stupid. But Clark has already lost his virginity didn't he? I was confused on this.
All in all it was a great episode! __________________

Yes he did have sex with Lana earlier when he had no powers. And that was better. He has to have "feelings" for women and they have to show that sometimes on Smallville.
Lana gives me the chills right now, and I actaully can't stand her. Please posters, no griping at me. I know you all love Lana.

Gotaa dmit though, seing Chloe's response to the "earthquakes" was pretty funny.
I also like the way the cut off at the end after lana asks clark if he still loves him...foreshadowing. __________________

I think that's what her character's effect is supposed to be now. Lana makes a great villan. Hmm, maybe it's Lana instead of Lex that is the villan of this story!! __________________

It is uncomfortable seeing a woman act like that (to me). Only men should be evil.( There is a sexist remark..) Who is an evil woman, I can't think of any. wait

Seriously though ask a woman this and she'll tell you the truth about a scornful woman.... Stay far away...
Well I gotta leave now, not just the board but the Canucks Hockey Game on T.V. too!

I actually thought it was good to have a little bit of light humor in there after all the seriousness in the last few episodes. __________________
