I went to a development meeting today for a new proposal. It goes to public hearing next Thursday night at 7 pm.

It's a class A office building. 15 stories tall at 57 meters in height.

here's some photos.

I went to a condo public hearing last week and two condo towers got approved that night too.

Here's a photo of one of them.

This is a 17 story residential condo tower the other is an 11 story building right behind it.

I also took this photo today of a new building getting built downtown. This is of a 13 story office tower and two condo towers one at 17 and the other at 13.

Here's a smaller model of this building with another proposal that was just approved a few months ago, which is at 24 stories.

There are so many cranes up around Victoria Right now. Most of the buildings being built are really nice too.

This one is half way built and is called the Juliet.

This one is under way and is called the Falls at 18 stories.

These are just a few. It's funny these buildings are not very tall yet for Victoria they are. Victoria has the most ridiculus height restrictions but at least they are building 20 story buildings here and there now

Sorry I know this isn't any thing to do with Smallville but I love development and architecture!

Neat those toy buildings could come in handy. I could make a movie with Godzilla or something.

Tim did I ever show you some of my N Scale train models? I've got almost 200 buildings in my city. I've hand built a bunch and most are kits. I've got a Stadium, Ballpark, 5 Large Cathedrals, skyscrapers, old buildings, corner stores etc. I've got on order a large Hockey Arena and several more skyscrapers right now.

Here's a photo of some of my buildings I've got almost double this.

Here's a football stadium I bought last week.

I've yet to build this one. I think I will next week.

I've put manaquins in store windows and detailed shops etc.

I've got six of these buildings. I'm going to increase the heights of them so that there will be three and build a shared podium so that they will have shops underneath them and trees etc. It's old school but I like them.

I've got store signs, billboards, cars, trucks, roads, bridges. I'm planning on getting a high speed bullet train that will run through the city on a viaduct. The problem is I'm not yet done with collecting buildings. I just bought a really cool skyscraper this last week which is bronze and hexagonal that has elevators running up the sides of it.

When it's done in a couple of years or a year. I always thought how cool it would be to have spiderman swinging between buildings.

Wow ,you know you could set up a camera and take still shots of cars and figures and then put the pics together and make them look like they are moving, the way they used to do special effects way back before cgi.

You could make a movie of Superman vs Godzilla or something. You'd be a hit on youtube for sure. I wish I had those to play with. I bet it costs a lot to own all those buildings.

Yeah it's been a hobby for a few years. Some buildings cost a couple of hundred bucks. The most expensive one is one that I'm still working on but it's awesome it's so old school high rise. It's a major kit basher!!! I have bought a wack of new buildings lately heheehe!!! I'd like to get started on putting together my city this coming year. I have a few hundred cars people signs trains blah blah blah. However I'm still missing a few main pieces to my city. But I'm getting them.

I'll post some more as I get them done.

I think I'll do a spider man movie when I'm all done. hahahaha

That sounds like a lot of fun putting them together and all. You really should consider making a youtube video. I bet that's how Stephen Spielburg got started. Well minus the youtube site.

Get you a very poseable spider-man and superman figure and go to town. You need a couple of buildings you don't want anymore and blow them up on camera with some fireworks or something. Got to catch it right the first time on film though.

Hey Tim here's the latest model I made. It took me ten hours to paint and glue and weather this guy.

Here's a slide show from the beginning to end about twelve photos.

It's about 5 inches high.

Nice.

You know my wife fusses about all the room my comic books take up. How do you fit all those models in your house?

I keep them all in boxes until I've finish model building. Then I will build my city so not much now but when it gets built it will be a good size!   I use the wink smiley as a happy smiley now cause we don't have one anymore!

I'm going to build my Cathedral this weekend. It's nice having a hobby for the winter months and the rainy days.
