Hey Anna,

Just a quick note to let you know I made a fool of myself this weekend .  During the intermission at the concert Saturday night, I got the chance to speak to Kristin and Allison.  I asked them if they knew how Anna was doing.  I apologized to them that I could not recall her last name, but that she worked as a stand in for Kristin on the show.  Allison asked if I was asking about Anna Murphy.  I said that could be it, but I wasn't sure.  I said that the Anna I was asking about was supposed to be getting married this month, and had been in the hospital for quite a while a few months back.

Well, neither Kristin or Allison had a clue who I was talking about.  So, I did my best to apologize to them, said that I guess I had gotten myself mixed up, apologized for taking their time, and went back to my seat with the preverbial tail between my legs.

If you could clear this up Anna, and let me know, I sure would appreciate it!!

That's awesome DH, at least you got to talk to them. That's better than I would have done. Movie stars make me nervous. You didn't happen to mention our site did you or get any pics?

Down Scaper, down!!!  Before the intermission was over, and after I had recovered from making a fool out of myself is when I went back over to speak to Allison about a picture.  When she said that they were not doing pictures on this trip (as I mentioned in another thread, though they were doing autographs), I apologized profusely, telling her I did not know.  Allison was very sweet and said that was okay, and that was fine.  I sheepishly put my arm around here as the intermission was wrapping up and they were having to go back on stage.  Allison gave me that classic grin as I turned to go and I just about fainted right there at the stage!!

I must say I was surprised at myself, I looked them both in the eye when speaking to them, I did not studder, nor find myself saying "uh" or "um" like you always did in high school/college speech classes/presentations.  The funniest part was when Allison asked how I knew Anna Murphy (again I did not know if that was the Anna that posts here), I was sly and just told her and Kristin that that was a long story, too long to tell right now (glancing at my watch).  They were both quite friendly, though I still felt a little bad for taking their time.

I think they were only there b/c some of the college groups performing were friends of theirs, so they had attended to support them.

Funny?  Funny??  I was EMBARACED!!!!  I think my face probably turned 15 shades of red.  All I can figure is one of three things: 1) Anna doesn't work around them like I thought she does 2) Allison and Kristin knew who I was talking about, but did not want to get into a long discussion 3) Anna does work with them, but they work with so many folks they did not recall who I was talking about.

I really hope Anna sees this and will clear things up.  I'm just asking questions here to try to get some answers, not making accusations.

Ha-ha, actually they acted like anyone else there to see the show, and as such I talked with them just as I would my other friends.  I have to admit though, when I first seen them walk in, my heart started going at a hundred miles per hour!!

Now you have to wonder if they'll see this posting and read what we are saying about the whole thing.

You know, I have a funny feeling they will not.  BTW Tim, I did do a little PR work for the site, mentioning it to several folks while shooting the bull waiting for the house to open.  One of the folks I chatted with, Jim, was over talking with Kristin and Allison (well Kristin more so than Allison as he fancied her), and he was saying he was surprised to hear she may not be back next season.  He asked if she was going to leave all alone there.  Kristin's response was funny, I thought, she said Tom has a "harem" to keep him company.  Now, being the smart alec that I am, as I walked up I said "I don't think his wife would be too happy about that."  This surprisingly went over well as everyone laughed. Ha!

Pretty much, suffice to say I had a hard time getting to sleep that evening.  I think I saw every hour on the hour!! LOL!!

I almost went there, but considering how they portrayed fans on msg boards for the episode with Warrior Angel, I decided that might not be the smartest route to take.  So, I did not lie, I just said that how I knew Anna was a long story (I was trying to not take up their time as they were there to enjoy the show, not be bothered by people).  Besides, the look on Allison's face when I delivered that sly comment, well, let's just say I got goose-bumps!!

Ditto, you would have loved Albany, they had some really great architechture!!  I'll have to post some pictures later.  I thought I had e-mailed you about the event several times a while back, but I know your business keeps you really busy.  I just got word after getting back from my trip that the project I've been working on will be concluding at the end of this month.  After that, they will no longer need me to work there.  So, I'm back to job hunting again!!  More fun, eh!

I'm not laughing Scaper!!

Hopefully SF1 will respond to this, but if not I guess I still have an answer.  Maybe Victor Hugo was right when he made this observation of life.."To be a saint is the exception; to be upright is the rule. Err, falter, sin, but be upright. To commit the least possible sin is the law for man. Sin is a gravitation." - 'Les Miserables'
French dramatist, novelist, & poet (1802 - 1885)

Ha, I've never "put the moves" on a girl - too shy.  Besides, Allison is way out of my league.   BTW, she already has a boyfriend, eh!!

D.Harvey, when I say make the moves on her. I mean try and flirt maybe get a date hey!

No one is out of anyones league. I've learned this, the only time someone is out of your league scope is if they are married or if you tell yourself that she is. Why would Allison be better than you? Bahhh no way! See she's got a boyfriend so that's a bit different, though she's not married. So I'd say that if I though I wanted to date a girl that was an actress, a business woman, an athlete, etc no big deal. It's good to date women who have goals and direction in life. See, I see life this way. If I was to decide to date someone, I feel that the girl I date would be lucky to have myself. I'm honest, caring, nice, respectable, I'd never cheat, yet I'm motivated, have goals, and have many other great things to offer, however who ever I'd decide to date I'd be the same on her side too. Cause I'd only choose someone who was a really amazing person. I just don't see anyone in leagues. It's all how it feels when your together. I don't idolize anyone nor see anyone as above me nor below me.

So if you want to put the moves on Allison, I'd do it! hahahaha!!!

You never know! HEY!   ooops EH!

Ha-ha, I have not had much experience with that, eh!  I tried asking a girl out in high school that I'd been friends with since junior high.  Not only did she flat out not answer me, she never spoke to me again.  Now, I understand everyone gets rejected - that's life, I understand - but since then I have fortified an impenetrable wall around myself.  I think Aero can relate, in that even though he found someone that reciprocated his feelings, he still lost her.  I've found it much safer to resign myself to being a loner, and live vicariously through fiction - guess that's why I quote so much, eh!  Besides I've always had kind of low self-esteem, and always worried I was bothering someone just by being around anyhow.

Don't feel bad for me, sorry for me, or pity me - it's simply a choice.

I admire your way of thinking Scaper!!  I think I have the same characteristics that you described, though I have to add shyness to the mix, eh!  Ah who knows, I was brave enough to casually speak with Allison and Kristin on my trip to Albany, maybe I'll be brave enough to ask her out the next time I meet her (though it's hard to tell when that will happen).   What was really great about meeting both of them, is that they treated you like any other person, neither of them had an attitude like "I'm better than you, why are you here." as you hear about some actors having.  I found them to be down to earth, enjoyable people.

Dh, I met my wife by jumping in front of her car in the McDonald's parking lot. Her cousin was actually driving and they were doing circles around the parking lot. I kept waving acting like a goober, and she kept smiling and going on till I just jumped in front of the car. The rest is history.

It's a crazy way to meet somebody, but it turned out we had a lot in common. We were both baptists, parents worked for the same outfit, they made about the same amount of money, same politics, watched a lot of the same stuff, Not all the same stuff, but a lot of the same stuff, listened to the same kind of music etc.

I don't recommend jumping in front of a car mind you to get chicks, but no guts no glory. In the end what matters I guess is being at the right place at the right time with the right girl.

BTW, Don't you love it how one can address a thread to someone/something and everyone/everything but them replies??  I'm not complaining here, just making an observation.

I have a feeling the right one will come to you--not the other way around.  I have good instincts. You don't have to go looking---she is already.  Your two souls are playing a song only the other one can hear.YOU however HAVE to be "open and receptive"--so maybe you have to tinker with that receptivity. Work on it a bit.
Also about "Anna"--surely Allison would have recognized the person you described, sometime stand -in, getting married, being ill.  And remember Smallvillfan1 has mentioned on occasion she brings comments from this board to the actors and gets responses and tell about them here. So, she is familiar in fantasy anyway if not fact.  I read back posts and see she/he has already told about using a "jumping harness" and that is was such fun.  Hummmm. The person still may be on the set, but in no capacity as described at all. Just not so.  Or she/he could be an old woman/man in a nursing home with time on their hands LOL. The fact that this site was praying for her and her ill or dying/dead acquaintences is awful if no one existed. But you can't fool God, so he knew if it was sincere or not.   But all that sickness, etc does make my statement back there seem not too bizarre.  She/He actually could be a such an individual, with problems, depression, and illness (was there death, even?)in and around them.  This could be really sad. Maybe they WISH they were getting married.(Maybe never had been)  Just living thru fantasy?
Just my continuing 2 cents.  Bet you wish there was a hole in my piggy bank and I stop this.

Very true, it is hard to know who someone is posting on a board.  I tend to try to think the best of people, and when I read something like what all Anna "allegedly" had going on - I do my best to support them through hard times.  Well, such is life.

Shadowland, your new snowman avatar is cute!
