Oboy, you lucky dog! I got a runny nose, it's raining outside after freezing rain this morning, and here you show me these palm trees.
Man, I wish I lived there right now. Those palm trees look nice. You even have superhero parades. Dude, it's like you live in paradise. __________________

Sorry to mislead you, the super heroes parade was in Atlanta, GA during the DragonCon convention but so far as weather is concerned, we are blessed. Sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather. Get well soon.

Here are some more superhero shots from DragonCon.
DragonCon is held every year During the Labor Day weekend and it is considered to be the Biggest Sci-Fi convention. It needs 2 Hotels to accomodate the events. It covers every genre imaginable. Some of the best artwork imaginable is on display... It's awesome and only about a 7hr drive from where I live.

I'd say it's about 4 or 5 hours from where I live ,but if it's Atlanta, Ga, I'd never make it there. Those drivers around there scare the crap out of me. It's like murder just driving by Atlanta.
Sure looks like fun though. I wish I could teleport there. You'd think by 2008 we'd have that capability by now. __________________

I've been there several times, but the "Worst Ever" drive was the 2004 drive. If you remember that was the year that Hurricane Frances hit the panhandle. We left at 6 a.m. fully expecting to be there by 2-3 p.m. but when we hit the Georgia border we ran into "Hundreds and hundreds" of people trying to go North to get out of the storms way. We arrived at the Hotel at 9:15 P.M.
A full 15 1/4 hrs after departure.Thank God for the DVD player in the van for the kids. We had fun in the end as some of the photos can attest to that.
