Did you read issue #26 of Superman/Batman? (i think that was the issue??) Jeph Loeb wrote a great story in tribute to his 17 year old son who had just succumbed to cancer. Sam Loeb, his son, also had his final story printed in that issue. Jeph Loeb is another of my favorite writers. Has anyone read his 5 issue miniseries 'Superman for all Seasons'? Totally awesome. Tim, I guarantee you'll love it or I'll go back to the Phantom Zone. His tribute story to his son in issue #26(?) was about Supermans friend in Smallville who was dieing of cancer and, of course, Superman was powerless to help him. Very touching.

Haven't read it yet, but I'll try and pick it up. I just spent a bunch of money on a bunch of old comics at the Adventure Con so it might be a little bit before my wife will let me step foot in the comic book shop again.

I've got a huge stack to read. Got some old Spider-Mans from the 70's from back when they were doing the clone story for the first time. Got some old 60's and 70's Superman issues, and a huge stack of Jonah Hex.

Tim, you've got to promise me you will pick up 'Superman for all Seasons' by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. It's set just as Superman reveals himself to the world. Lots of Smallville and Ma and Pa Kent scenes. Buy it and tell me what you thought of it. Post it here. For some reason, I think it will appeal to you even though I really don't know anything about you. Call it a hunch.
