Say on that first one was that Larry from the Bob Newhart Show. The one that had the brother Daryl and the other brother Daryl.

What was that book Ben handed Sayid?

I was thinking the same thing. The appearance and the voice sound right-it probably is. I looked it up. That actor we're both thinking of is William Sanderson. If we see that name in the opening credits, then we'll know.

Hope you don't care I fixed the link you posted with my amazon code. I hate to waste a good opportunity to make a buck. I'm sure there are some Lost fans that might love to buy that book just because it was on Lost.

That being the case-since you shouldn't waste the opportunity-I'm gonna give you a task. Up to you if you want to or not.

On the ABC site, under the LOST section, you can find lists of books that the characters read, the cast and crew read and specific books that inspire themes, events or even characters on the show. Make a sticky thread with something like 'get Lost in a book' or whatever and start listing entries involved with the show. Maybe start with this book right here? I don't think it would hurt too much if you said a little something about each of them as you went along either. (hint-others may jump in on the project if you just start it off and it may take off better than a wiki would-Lost fans are a rabid lot).

You want to make a buck? My suggestion for how to work toward that. Again, up to you.

Thanks, I think I can use that list on my Tvcrazy.net Lost Section. That could be cool. I could list the books and a link to amazon.

I'm not sure that's going to get you results but hey, go for it.

BTW that was indeed William Sanderson-his credit was the last on the list.

I knew it when I saw him last night. I still get cracked up over that line. This is "Daryl and my other brother Daryl."

The Lost Books

Couldn't find nothing on Chronicles of Narnia on the ABC site though, and it lists the same exact books for season 4 and 5. Makes me think Season 5's listing may not be correct.

I can mention two things about Chronicles of Narnia in relation to the show. One has to do with the author's name- C S Lewis which also happens to be Charlotte Staple Lewis' name. There's also the connection between the two worlds in each-in Narnia they have the wardrobe for instance and in Lost, they have Mrs Hawkings basement 'gateway'.

You might also try looking up most of the character names on the show in the philosophy section- Hume, Locke, Rousseau, etc-just to round out some of your book list. Start here:
