Clark learns that Davis is still alive. What's he gonna do?? Check out the official description of 'Beast'.
The CW's Official Description: "Beast"
Airs April 30, 2009 on The CW
DAVIS ASKS CHLOE TO LEAVE TOWN WITH HIM — Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that Davis (Sam Witwer) is still alive and confronts Chloe (Allison Mack) about protecting him. Oliver (Justin Hartley) discovers Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) breaking into Chloe’s apartment, but things get rapidly worse after Davis jumps from the shadows and attacks both of them. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Genevieve Sparling (#3T7470).
Quote: But I wonder why is Chloe falling for a Doomsday?
'What about me?' (I mean that as Chloe's response and not >me< specifically).
Her buddy Clark is working at the job she wanted, the job she basically had to twist his arm to do back in high school. Let's not forget she still has feelings for him(at least up until Zatanna's spell wore off). 'The one that got away' refers to both him and the job.
Her cousin Lois, on the other hand(another one Chloe herself convinced to get interested in journalism in the first place), got both.
Her BFF Lana actually went through the process of becoming a 'superhero', which actually got Lana and Clark closer before their tragic seperation-closer than Chloe's ever been-to Clark and to 'making a difference'.
How about Pete? Another old friend. Got himself a useful power he could control, instead of something sporadic and unexplainable, and had it wear off. He was cured of his 'freakhood' and is living a grand life doing what he wanted all along.
The marriage to Jimmy was a huge disappointment and a huge blow to an already fragile heart. Not that it can't be saved, but at this point, why bother? Even Jimmy gets to work at the Daily Planet.
Enter Davis. There was chemistry between them immediately, even though she was engaged to Jimmy at the time. Even keeping that in mind, I wouldn't say she was falling for him(and especially not for the murderous creature he turns into). He's an opportunity, and not a petty one. Let's keep two specific things in mind. We don't know exactly what she's planning just yet, but if it is that her power is going to keep the beast in check somehow, this is doomed to failure. Some possible motivation? First off, as Watchtower, she now has unlimited resources to 'help him'- she can basically ask Ollie to deliver whatever she needs for both of them without venturing away from the 'vault' or 'control room' or whatever they're going to call her base of operations. Secondly, she still seems to believe she's doing the greater good for humanity in general by keeping the beast caged, if for no other reason than to keep Clark safe from this very lethal weapon so he can keep 'blurring' around and doing good deeds.
As it stands she's probably just buying time until she can think of a solution-which would still be a huge heroic answer to 'what about me?'. __________________

The answer's pretty obvious: she has a thing for aliens. __________________
Boy is he asking GA something hard. Taking care of Chloe could get Doomsday all over you, and without powers that could be pretty scary. __________________
You know it's funny episodes are good sometimes when our favorite characters do things we hate. It's like Alan Moore once said, you never give the audience what they want.
I still like happy endings though.
Is it possible though that Chloe is only pretending to like Davis to protect Clark? But then she stopped Clark from putting him into the Phantom Zone which would have been the perfect solution. __________________
I believe Chloe right not is mixing her feelings. She does care for Davis, and wants to protect him Doomsday, but at the same time, she wants to help Clark "fulfill his destiny"... __________________

There was this idea that Davis' feelings for Chloe were the thing that keeps his transformation under control, as expressed by Chloe herself when speaking with that doctor/scientist fellow.
Pay attention to where Davis and Clark are battling at the fortress however, and it seemed as if Davis 'powered down' in her presence without knowing she was there first. Maybe Davis noticed her entrance, maybe not. Chloe might still have some sort of power after all. __________________

WOW sorry I asked such a question that resulted in a few opinions. But I did enjoy the episode. My girl was so confused that we had to watch it twice to make sure she understood it. I don't see what was so confusing about it, but oh well I still love her. __________________
