OK if you look at the Superman Suit they are using for the new movie it appears that the Crest on the chest is raised Right. Wouldn't you think that some one would notice a bulge in his dress shirt or that some one might possibly feel it if they say perhaps touch Clark or just bump into him. Just a random thought while at work

Yeah they would. Although dont tell the idiot suit lovers at superherohype that.  they will give you a bunch or reasons why not.  The biggest one "You're talking about a man who can fly.  A man can't fly can't he?  So then no one would notice it."

You make a curious point Superman182 because I am guessing it would be noticable if you accidently bumped or brushed against his chest hard enough.

It is like they think we are stupid and will not think of these things to shot them down about the new costume. Personaly the costume is growing on me since I know that is what I we are going to get stuck with but I still think they need to fix it or some thing. I would not care if it even delayed the movie coming out. Since we have been waiting so freaking Long anyways for another one.

The funniest thing about the new suit is that when WB asked the designers of the latest Batman suit to do a new Superman suit they didn't use their updated Chris suit design and went their own way. I, personally, would like to have seen that suit compared to the one they are using.

They had a updated Chris suit, and they didn't use it. What a bunch of ditto heads. The updated Chris suit, it has basicaly all the things the old suit had, like the trunks, the oval belt and the knee high boots?

Man I would love to have seen the revised Chris Suit too. That would have been bad ass as hell

I just hope they left the trunks and a few other things on the suit.

Yeah I wish they would have the shorts alone bacause to me they look like freakin bikin bething suit bottoms. LOL

Hey, if they don't use the revised Reeve suit in this movie, maybe they will use it in the sequels.
Posted:  01 Jan 2006 03:41
I just hope the revised Reeve suit has shorts. Without them, the suit looks like pajamas.

I wonder if anyone out there in the design team of the first revised version of the suit reads this and can get a picture of it put on the board for all of us to see. The really funny part about the raised shield on new suit is that Dean's home made suits would have had a similar problem because that shield would have sat up off the chest aswell but not as much as the new movie version.

Yep. I think it would be great to see some pics of the revised reevels suit. But then again if I do I might get angry that they did not use that suit. Ah shoot damned if I do damned if I don't LOL.

Do you remember when the first Batman came out in '89? The costume was like nothing we had ever seen before. I was 13 and still remember the feeling I had when looking at what a real-life superhero (not animated) would look like. I WANT THAT FEELING AGAIN. Something so revolutionary it could actually change the way the character is portrayed in the comics...that's what Batman did. Stick with the essentials, but give us something new. Any thoughts?

I know what you mean GeneralZod. Before Batman '89 came out, I was into Ninja Turtles and whatnot. But After seeing Batman, I really got into comic book superheroes (and came back to reading Superman). I like Batman Begins because they put Batman into a real world and showed how he became the crimefighter... but the pace may have been too slow for some younger audiences. I'm hoping that Superman can do that... because I really doubt that Ghost Rider will.

Ok, the colours I like, muted, more mature. But  the 3d "S"? fun hiding that one under the shirt. The belt buckle-one word, overdone. Then the worst, the boots! What are those soles? Layers of pancakes, squished out the side?!! Have you seen the boots you can but off the net? They look great! But they went with these, what look like costume hire boots!
