Just wondering who's reading what as it pertains to Superman. I'm currently collecting Superman, Action Comics and Supergirl. Am also reading World of New Krypton. All are very good. Tim? Pakman? Anyone else want to discuss?

I'm so broke I had to save all my new comic money for the adventure con a couple of weeks ago. So I might not get to find out what's going on with Supes for another month or at least till I read all the old comics I bought first.

I got a few old Superboy comics from the 60's and 70's. They had Lex Luthor with hair and he was Superboy's pal. Instead of being rich he was a scientific genius.

Was planning on getting the 'Final Crysis' trade. That's about it for now.

Just finished the paper back book of Crisis on Infinite Earths.  also just read it beginning to end for the first time.  a little repetitive here and there but otherwise it was excellent.

Also just bought (though it's not a comic) "Enemies and Allies" by Kevin J. Anderson, from what I've skimmed--it looks really good.

Tim: I hope your gonna get World of New Krypton. Kal-El, as he's known on New Krypton, is a soldier under Zod's command. I believe the last issue had Zod ordering Kal-Els execution for treason. But I don't wanna give too much away.

Pakman: Final Crisis was pretty good. Not as good as Identity Crisis but I hope you like it. I'm still waiting for the final issue of "Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds" to come out. It's very far behind schedule.

Aero: Wasn't Kevin J Anderson the writer of that Superman book about Krypton before it blew up? There was a post about it in this forum a while ago. I have the book but I have yet to read it.

There is also a new Justice League 6 part mini-series coming out called 'Cry for Justice' that looks just awesome. I read a preview and from the 3 pages I read, it looks like a few of the Leaguers are thinking of taking matters into their own hands to avenge Batman and Martian Manhunter. Against Supermans wishes.

At the moment I had to spend 10 bucks to get the Captain America Reborn 1. Darn shipping fee. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll make it to the comic shop and try to load up on the latest Supermans if I have any money. Darn economy.

I'm really curious right now how Marvel plans on bringing Captain America back.

Judging from Marvel's past(which DC has also been guilty of in a number of cases), here's your top possible scenarios for the return of Steve Rogers, if that's what actually is happening.

>It's a clone from his DNA, or it was a clone that was killed.

>It was a Skrull that got killed during Civil War.

>It was one of Shield's body duplicates.

>A son we never knew about.

>A deal with Mephisto, use of the Infinity Gauntlet or something Forge whipped up, for the easy points.

>Time travel.

Good luck on it being reasonable.

I've been reading Cap since issue #1 of Ed Brubaker's run and it has been awesome. Here's my opinion on what's gonna happen. The gun Sharon Carter used wasn't a regular gun as shown in Captain America #600 (#51). The Skull's essence or whatever you wanna call it left the Russian General he was inhabiting for a time early in the series (can't remember his name offhand) and Crossbones and Sin (the Skull's daughter) were talking about how 'the fools had no idea' about what the Skull's ultimate plan is and how it will destroy Cap and the USA. Here's what I think will happen: Captain America is gonna be Reborn, but it won't be Steve Rogers. It'll be the Red Skull inhabiting the body. And Sharon Carter and The Falcon and Bucky/Captain America will be the ones to do it unknowingly. Read Cap #600 and my theory (I think) will become clear.

This past Wednesday was Canada Day so no comics were delivered up here and my comic shop was closed. I've been sleeping till late in the day and haven't been able to make it to my comic shop yet before it closed for the day. I work nights. But I know 'REBORN' is sitting in my slot since Thursday...waiting for me to come pick it up. I think I'll force myself to stay up till the shop opens at noon and go get it. Can't wait.
