Take any six different people who like the Hulk and they'll give you six different reasons why they like him, or that book, specifically. Sometimes it's the human drama of Bruce's struggles whether for his being hunted or the dark past which he kept hidden from himself for so long. On other occasions it's the Hulk overcoming situations brute strength can't win in.
"Hulk SMASH!" is definitely a high in demand item but it's not all that book(especially the Planet Hulk epic) is/was about. He's had many occasions over the years where he was intelligent(or Banner was in control in beast mode, etc). This particular episode however requires a beast that's able to think, to learn strategy and calculation and teamwork, etc.
The other gripe I keep seeing mention of is that they should not have condensed the whole story down to just one short movie-as in, make a miniseries like they did with Spawn on HBO a few years back(the same suggestion made for Watchmen before that film was released come to think of it).
On a more positive note Tim, you do still have the recent release of 'Hulk VS' at your disposal, correct? Plenty of emerald smash em up goodness there. __________________Beneath this mask is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr Creedy and ideas are bulletproof.
