Could be anything. A simple flashback, he might show up like he did before to Locke as a guide, someone might run right into Boone during some event because of those flashes happening again somehow, what Juliet did was really to reboot the whole island and we start right back at the original crash, or in keeping with that Hurley chicken commercial they shared with us a month or two ago, there is an entire new reality where no crash happened and Boone is alive and well after all along with everyone else.
