I do believe, superjon, I've heard that phrase a few million times back in my construction work days.

You know ..maybe your being a little picky superjon, about the chloe thing but guys don't get so worked up on superjon, please.

It's like the good Book says, "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. " It's very hard to argue when both parties are saying nice things to one another.

As a general rule , I like everything organized, just whenever you guys happen to think about it try to post it where it best fits, but don't stress over it. When in doubt post it anyway. Sometimes it can be difficult to keep everything organized especially for any new guys that might show up.

No worries just keep it fun.

Krypton thank you for standing up for me hun... but seriously don't bother talking to people like superjon cause its just not worth it thats why I simply decided to ignored him, I know it is my habit to argue with people but I don't want to go that low and argue with superjon, I just lost the little bit of respect I had on him.

I am guessing that is the modern term for taking something in the direction you wish to take it and not being respectful enough to play by the rules, would that be a fair explanation of "hijacking a thread", Krypton? [smirk]
Posted:  28 Mar 2006 13:52
Hey superjon your acting as if everyone else sticks to the rules... In every single thread most of the people end up going out of topic or post something that is not relevent. Its the natural human behavior... you have to live with it. Oh yeah and leave krypton out of this he didn't do anything to you.

Tim as you can clearly see superjon was being utterly rude to me and im complaining... And as a leader you either do something about it or you can just give him a last warning ok. If you act all chicken then it will simply prove that you don't have the skills to be a leader or run a site... and I don't understand why you keep on covering up for superjon even though you know he is wrong... (eeerrrr where is the truth and justice, sorry if im being rude Tim but im really ticked off now)

Ok Kavitha,

Superjon please don't fuss at Kavitha

Superjon, as the older types here, I suppose our best bet is to lead by example. Fussing at the younger ones only makes them mad.

Now what was it we were discussing? Lois vs Lana right. I think I was on the Lois side. Yeah, Lois looks the best I think.

Thank you very much Tim......
And yeah lets get back to the topic. Lana is better than lois on the "pretty" side(although lois is not bad looking at all) but when is comes to personality i think lois rocks.

Superjon?? who is that??

I think Lois is great (except to Kavitha that is )

She definitly has the prettier, more mature look throughout all of the different superman shows.
Lana has that cute young girl look in Smallville but that's about it. IMHO

u don't know superjon, k? i think Tim and him (lol it rhymes) know each other
Posted:  29 Mar 2006 02:56
Over and done with Tim, Kavitha, Krypton and Pinoyman. Now to the more important issues of who is the woman under Margot Kidder in the banner. I have the answer and she is Leslie Anne Warren. It turns out that she played Lois in a 1970's tv special about the 1966 broadway musical on superman. Now she is Susan's(Teri) mother in Desperate Housewives which I am betting is not a coincidence becasue I am betting that not many people will realise the connection. I know I didn't.

I dont like he lois in smallville cause he looks too mature and acts annoying, and she and clark have a brother sister relationship.... I mean clark looks younger to her. Lana is young and pretty but her personality sucks....

Wow thanks superjon, if we had a no-prize like the old Marvel Comics used to give away, You'd be the winner. How in the world did you find that out? You put Adrian Monk and Columbo to shame with that one.

Anybody remember the old Marvel No-Prizes from the letters pages?

Actually it was just a matter of asking the right person Tim. I sent an email to Steve Younis at the superman homepage and he kindly gave me the answer. By the look of the picture it must be, at least, 30 years old. He set up the superman homepage 12 years ago and is also an Australian, did you know that? I figured if he set up the superman homepage then he would either know himself or have connections that would know the answer.

I guess I should have known, but the Superman play was before my time. I never even saw it in reruns.

I know this is probably going to upset Kavitha and by upsetting her it will also upset Krypton but here goes anyhow. The latest issue of FHM magazine has a list of their top 100 sexiest women of 2006 and Alison(Chloe) didn't even make the list, sorry. Here is the thing, Erica outranked both Kristin and Kate and Teri made it in at number 10. I couldn't disagree with their choice of number 1 in Scarlet Johannson because she is just outstandingly beautiful.

Superjon,im glad you considered my reaction before trying to post something about Chloe. I’m really not interested about who goes into the sexy list... I like Chloe cause she has an awesome personality and she is also pretty... (I really don't know about the sexy part)...so like kryp said "Acceptable". But it does upset me a bit to know that Kristin is in the list...

Why does it upset you so much Kavitha? I mean Kristin in a very beautiful girl and very much deserves to be there. I think that reason that Alison didn't make the list is because, although she is a very attractive girl, she has much more flaws with her beauty than Kristin. If you take a look at Alison's imperfections compared to Kristin's then hers are much more noticeable. She has a very teethy smile and a much more softer look to her body type. Now, in my opinion, these imperfections would actually make her look more like a typical teenager than Kristin does. The funniest thing about the list was the fact that 2 porn stars were in there. They are Tera Patrick and Jenna Jameson if any of the boys were wondering and grinning a little bit.
Posted:  05 Apr 2006 13:05
Superjon was upset cause i don't like kristin... I just don't like the way she looks and i personally think she shouldn't have got into that list. And i have no comments about chloe cause different people have different views towards her and i don't want to argue on that...I think chloe is fine with the way she looks. And just for the record no one is prefect....

Very true Kavitha, no one is perfect. I am guessing that the reason for Kristin getting more publicity than Alison is the fact of the character that she plays in the show. I am not sure if the next sentence is going to upset you but I will write it to try to help make my point. Kristin plays Lana Lang which is quite a famous female in fictional comic history and Alison's character of Chloe was only brought into Smallville to ,probably, create a love triangle because like I said elsewhere the tv show is the first and only place she has ever appeared in superman's history. I think that reason for Erica rating higher than Kristin is because she plays a more famous big screen and small screen character. I mean Lois is enshrined in superman history as the great love of Clark/Superman's life. Like the saying goes, it is who you know but in this case it is who knows you.
Posted:  06 Apr 2006 13:15
Yes you are right superjon. Lana maybe given more priority but this is smallville and not superman even though it is very much related to superman... Even though Chloe is not in the history of superman many people seem to like her and appreciate her existence, I mean what would smallville be without Chloe... Chloe wasn't only put for the sake of a love triangle, maybe she liked Clark before but now that’s all long gone and she supports Clark and Lana. Chloe makes a fine reporter and also brings a lot of interest into the story well at least more than Lana. I personally think that Chloe is so much better than Lois in smallville... Its not all about the looks, Sometime looks can make a person famous and not to mention that people do like Chloe a lot. I mean “smallville” is “smallville” and not superman…..

Yes but to tell you the truth Lois and Lex shouldn't be apart of Smallville at all because, I think that Tim said, neither of them are in the comic of superboy which the series is loosely based on. They have done a lot of tweeking of the storyline to help bring the show to tv with the idea of getting a much broader audience watching it. Afterall it is suppose to be Clark's teenage years from the original movie with great elaboration and a vague essence of the superboy comic. They get off track by a long way sometimes.
Posted:  07 Apr 2006 16:47
Yeah it's got pretty complicated. It's like a mix of new and old ideas and storylines from the last 60 years.

You got Lex in Smallville which he was in the old golden age & silver age superboy comics, but he wasn't ever in Smallville as of the 1980's. Don't know if they've changed that recently or not. In the old days it was Superboy's fault Lex became bald.

I think originally there was story where Lois might have been in Smallville once.

The only thing that bugs me is the whole Metropolis in Kansas thing. Metropolis is definitely not supposed to be in Kansas.

All in all though Smallville captures the spirit of the Superman stories very well. It's kind of like taking everything ever made about Superman and putting it into blender.

That is what makes it so good Tim. Plus they can add a little "new" stuff to the mix.
It would be really nice if they just side stepped superboy/man history a little and told their own version of what they want to happen.
Make it a whole new story

I like the idea that we all know Lex Luthor is destined to be evil. We just don't know how he get's there.

Even though we know he's headed that way, you hate to see him going that way. Like last night when his late mother warned him of his future I kept saying surely he's going to listen.

I loved Terri Hatcher's interpretation of Lois.  I cannot stand Erica Durance's Lois on Smallville, but I think that is the way the writers intended it to be.  That is, I don't think you are supposed to like Erica.

As for Lana, while Kristen has matured over the years, she still looks a little too young to me.  I guess that's why I'm infatuated with Alison Mack's Chloe.

But back to the posted question, I'd agree that with Terri's Lois being there, Lois wins.
