Generally I don't see a lot of Dean Cains walking around the midwest. Definitely not on farms.
I think that what it all boils down to is that we are all looking for the ICONIC Superman. One that personifies Truth, Justice and the American Way. Reeve's bumbling Clark Kent was easier to identify with in contrast to his Superman persona. Cain was too slick. Welling is slick as well but he gets by with it because he has a TON of everyday problems... much like teenagers do. Will Brandon pull it off? I suppose I'm going to have to see him on screen to tell. But back to the subject of Dean Cain appearing on Smallville. I think it's cool. He's a part of Superman history whether I like it or not. I mean, Stan Lee gets to show up in all of the Marvel movies, right?
