What you are about to see...is real.  On the WWE show, RAW, this past Monday, a man named John Morrison, demontrated his training method called parkour, the art of movement.  And trust me!  This ISN'T fake.

psh.

yes, parkour training is effective as it get's down to our primal roots but this was absolutely nothing. he's ripped so he made it look cool.  i can and have done everything he did.

search online for videos of the stuff if you want to see some wild things.  here's one off the top of my head.  and no, i can't do some of these. (but some i can )

Those are all pretty dang cool, like Jackie Chan kind of moves. I want to do that, but I'm not sure if my old limbs can take it. Very much like a real superhero kind of moves.

Doyle is absolutely right; because no body is the same, two people doing the same style of roll will not perform it the same way. They'll subconsciously adjust the technique to what they feel is right.  This is true for all martial arts, team sports, and physical activities.  The trick is to be able to identify what your body is changing [the change is often incredibly small] and use it/change it to your advantage.

I heard about that leap but forgot to check back and look for it. Thanks for posting. Pretty spectacular.

No matter how many times I watch it (going on 11th or so now) all that comes to mind is 'staged'. When adrenaline is rushing and you don't know what's happening as is in 99% of fights, you can not move that clean cut. The leap was pretty far and well done, but that kick afterward? It was at least .90 of a second, probably more. My kicks? .46 is my record. And was that a roundhouse? he telegraphed it so hard it looked like it was in slow motion...

arrrg, they're doing it wrong... this makes martial artists cry.

i know that there's going to be a new show on g4 that's all about people doing parkour in one of the main cities, the commercial is pretty cool, imo:

I've been practicing for ~14yrs now and have been teaching for the past 2. My main styles are TKD, Kenpo, Ju-jitsu, and Tai Chi Chuan. I also know Wing Chun, some Bagua, some Arnis, some Jeet Kune Do, and some Muay Thai?

Guys, check out my health site hip2bfit.com. I just started a forum for martial arts too.

I'm trying to think of a workout routine I can do a exercise video with to promote the site. Any ideas? So far I'm thinking pushups with a clap at the top, maybe some one armed pushups, and lots of jumping jacks. Maybe I can throw some karate moves in. Be the next Taebo star. I could call it Timbo!

Well tim i am glad you are doing that because people need a good work out site and a few karate moves would be good. I tell people all the time to get into some type of exercise or self defence because after i leave class i feal refrese and self defence is a good thing to know in the world we live in. A tim all the things you listed are good for your video. And just to ask tim do you know any type of martial arts?

I took a karate class for a semester a few months ago. I didn't have time to keep going, but maybe some time I can go back, in the mean time I need to get back to practicing the things I learned.

That ship was a old World War II battle ship turned into a museum. It was the  North Carolina Battleship.
