Russian News site Film Business Today states that the sequel will be based on pages from Marvel comic books and will be called X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Days of Future Past comic was first published in 1981 and is a time-spanning tale in which the X-Men try to to prevent a terrible future where many of them are captured or killed by mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels.

Writers: Simon Kinberg, who co-wrote X-Men: The Last Stand and co-produced X-Men: First Class, Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn.

Producer: Bryan Singer will return as producer on the film.

The film is due to start filming in January 2013. Young Mystique, Jennifer Lawrence, has made a deal and said she wouldn’t start filming the next x-men film untill she had finished shooting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The sequel for First Class is scheduled for a release on July 18, 2014.
