Well, he did wear all black for part of the episode "Thirst" where he was dressed as Zorro. Plus I'd say from the description of the episode he's supposed to be "undercover" to get into this fighting tournament.

I thought it was intresting how she wound up protecting clark in the end, even though it broke his heart. Although I think lana could've hinted something was wrong to Clark at the least about Lionel. O well, I'm sure the arrival of the baby will change everything.

- Chloe, Lana, and Jimmy are very much the lead characters in this story.
- Lois and Lionel finally interact again for the first time since "Crusade," and elements from this story lead into the season's final two episodes.
