Yeah, I thought about Martha too kav, but it seems too much to take away from Clark, he already lost his Dad, so I don't think the writers will do that.
Now that I think about it more, I think it's going to be Lionel. __________________

Personally, I do not think anyone will be leaving. Though I'd say Lois or Lionel would be possible. __________________The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf. It's to outline even the simplest scriptures that can mean so much in building yourself up.

FINALLY!! After a news hiatus, MAJOR spoilers for some episodes including the finale. See and believe.
Episode #6-20: "Noir" Air Date: May 3, 2007
Guest Stars: Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen)
UPDATED 4/12/07: New from The CW: "In a special Film Noir episode shot partially in black and white, Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) sees what life in Smallville would have been like in the 1940s."
UPDATED 3/20/07 (Thanks S.A.M.!): S.A.M. has posted this: "Apparently there is a 'dream sequence' component to this eps. Set in the 40's, we see Jimmy & Clark at a nightclub and Chloe working at the Daily Planet."
- And some additional spoilers... Not to burst any bubbles too much, but Chloe is actually the "girl friday" for Daily Planet reporter Jimmy in this dream sequence.
- The dream MAY be in black and white, and the person having the dream is Jimmy.
- Dream-Clark, a reporter by day and a crime-fighter by night, wears glasses.
- Chloe, Lana, and Jimmy are very much the lead characters in this story.
- Lois and Lionel finally interact again for the first time since "Crusade," and elements from this story lead into the season's final two episodes.
Episode #6-22: "Phantom" Air Date: May 17, 2007
Written By: Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer
Guest Stars: Phil Morris (The Martian Manhunter)
UPDATED 4/12/07: This might be the final episode as a regular cast member for at least one person (See Rumorville)
- An explosion was filmed on Wednesday April 11th. Chances are good that the explosion may involve Lana in some way.
- As with any Smallville finale, expect almost every major character to be in peril at the season's end. Unless, of course, their story has already seen its end within the episode itself.
- Bizarro-Clark has a similar color scheme to Clark, except with a red shirt and a blue jacket.
- The ultimate survival of Lois may depend on Chloe's power.
- A lot of long-awaited confrontations may finally happen here.
- Aaron Ashmore does not appear in this episode, as he departs in "Noir."
- New from The CW: "Lana (Kristin Kreuk) tell Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) their marriage is over, and Clark (Tom Welling) goes after Lionel (John Glover) when he discovers the real reason Lana agreed to marry Lex."
The CW Details May 2007 Highlights
The CW has put out a press release highlighting some episodes of Smallville scheduled for the May 2007 sweeps period.

May 10: "Prototype"
No new details revealed

I think in the big episodes, Clark wears a red jacket (symbolizing the cape) and a blue shirt (symbolizing the suit). Which will be opposite of what Bizarro will be wearing.

OH...MY...GOD!!! This is the MOTHER of ALL spoilers!! LOOK!!!
Breaking News: Smallville Planning Major Death
Attention Smallville fans: This news might make you feel like you have butterflies made out of Kryptonite in your stomach, so read at your own risk.
Inside sources tell me exclusively that one of the main four castmembers—Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack or Kristin Kreuk—will be killed off before the season ends.
Although all of these castmembers are under contract for one more season (they initially signed seven-year deals), producers have decided to have one of their characters meet an untimely end, in a shocking plot twist.
Naming exactly who is going six feet under would ruin the viewer experience (and probably prevent me from cozying up to any CW cuties at future C-Dub events) so I'll simply tell you this regarding the soon-to-be-deceased character's identity: It is someone who is most definitely a fan favorite. And I think you're gonna freak..

Given that this article was posted under the gossip column, I'd say it could still be false to drum up ratings for the up coming May sweeps. Though with the earlier rumors about Michael (a.k.a "freakcake") not coming back (which, again, is a RUMOR), I'd guess Lex could be the only going out with a bang. However, I still think this is all a marketing stunt. __________________The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf. Assuming that the somebody is actually dead when next season starts it would most likely be Chloe. She's the only that doesn't really have a part in the comics universe not counting any recent addition that may have occurred.
But it could be a deal where somebody dies and comes back like in the comics, and in that case Tom Welling could even die. __________________

She's the only that doesn't really have a part in the comics universe not counting any recent addition that may have occurred. I questioned why it would be Chloe since I seem to recall DC buying the rights to Chloe to add to the comics. They even had an interview with Allison Mack where she talked about how cool it was to have a character added to DC comics that was going to look like her (or something to that effect). Besides, Chloe is sort of the one that does the whole "explaination" bit in the programs to drive the story along, and explain to everyone else what is going on.
Quote: But it could be a deal where somebody dies and comes back like in the comics, and in that case Tom Welling could even die. True, and if you think about it we've already seen Chloe, Clark, Lex, and Lana "die" on the series already only to have them brought back to life through the magic of television!

I forgot to mention it earlier, but this information found at Kryptonsite.com would also seem to point to Lana's passing: Quote: An explosion was filmed on Wednesday April 11th. More stuff to gossip over.
Quote:
The Ausiello Report by Michael Ausiello
Exclusive: Justice & Doom draws on Clark Kent’s colorful history
Comic Scoop on Smallville
Marketing tie-ins often fall flat, but the current online promotional game Smallville Legends: Justice & Doom does more than just give players chance to win a Toyota Yaris. Warren Bros. marketing exec Sonia Borris promises it’ll provide “the truth about questions that dedicated Smallville fans have been asking for the last six years.”
TV Guide was given an exclusive preview of the game’s final animated chapter, which airs during a commercial break in the show’s season finale (Thursday, 5/17, 8/7c, The CW), and it does deliver.
The two-minute-comic-book-style interstitial (which will also be posted at cwtv.com/justice) reveals how many events in Clark Kent’s life-from his first meeting with Lex Luthor to his year’s introduction of the Justice League – are all connected. Think of it as six degrees of Superman. – Rich Sands.
Ask Ausiello:
Quote:
Question: Is Chloe's power on Smallville that she can die and come back to life — hence the "death" you alluded to in the season finale?— Beatty
Ausiello: You're getting warmer. Watch this week's vodcast and you'll be on fire!
TV Guide Blurb:
Quote:
Hot List: The drama's best season ever comes to a superpowered close with a Kent-Luthor throw down and a doozy of a death. Buckle up.
Finale Fever: What would a Smallville season finale be without a supersize cliff-hanger? We asked executive producer Al Gough about the rumored demise of a major character. His response: Who says only one character can die?" Clark finishes rounding up the Phantom Zone escapees, with one very tricky exception. And oh, those bickering Luthors: "Lana and Lex are way beyond marriage counseling", Gough says. "These two make Ike and Tina look like domestic bliss."
Thursday Highlights: Not to spoil anything, but someone is going to buy the farm as the sixth season flies outta here. The comic books tell us it can't be Clark,Lex or Lois, but that still leaves a lot of potential victims. Meanwhile, Lionel is in for a world of trouble after his hand in the Luthor-Lang marriage comes to light.

BTW, I just checked out the video cast of Ausiello's "Smallville Death Details Revealed". Some information I found out from this suggests that we "should not let our hearts be troubled" when it comes to whoever "dies" in the season finale. Essentially, this death is not exactly as final as it sounds!! Hmm.... __________________The Bible is so powerful. It's not to be left on your shelf.
