Quote: Jeez, and I thought they were shooting themselves in the foot with the last update Mattro found. Now it sounds like they're really tossing the whole thing in the trash!! Oh well, it was fun for a while, good finds Mattro - and thanks for the warning!!
Well, it doesn't get better. Question: Any scoop on the 150th episode of Smallville? — Todd Ausiello: It's airing on May 1, it's being directed by Tom Welling, it features the return of James Marsters as Braniac, and, according to exec producer Al Gough, it's another one of those alt-reality romps, only this time "Clark has to look at a world where potentially he never crash-landed on Earth. It's basically a version that could have happened — and if Brainiac has his way, it will happen." Question: I really need some good Smallville scoop involving Lois and Clark. C'mon, help me out here. — Nora Ausiello: Help is on the way! In the aforementioned 150th episode, we'll get our first glimpse of Clark sporting an iconic Superman look. What does that have to do with Lois, you ask? Well, Ms. Lane's responsible for the wardrobe change! Question: Will Kristin Kreuk be back for any more episodes this season? And do you have any major news about the season finale? — Joel Ausiello: KK will be in some, but not all, of this season's remaining episodes, as she's currently in Thailand shooting Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Regarding the finale, I can tell you that the final scene(s) very much involve Lex finding some important pieces of the Superman puzzle. Hint: The title of the episode is "Arctic." Quote: No, Mattro's referring to the talk of seeing Clark with glasses on towards the very end.you mean like for the past 7 seasons? or will he finally have something cape-like and red in nature? __________________ The Bible is so powerful. WAIT!!! It gets better.
Question: Any juicy spoilers on Smallville? And what's up with Brainiac? — Michelle Ausiello: This week's Ausiello Report vodcast has fraktastic spoilers on what will become of Chloe and Lex in the big 150th episode on May 1. And regarding Brainiac, departing exec producer Al Gough tells us that in that same episode "the Clark-Brainiac story is going to come to a head." Question: We need scoop on why Al Gough and Miles Millar left Smallville! This is a complete shock. I know you can get us answers!— Jesse Ausiello: Everyone I spoke to about this — and that includes sources at the CW, Warner Bros. and the show itself — tell me two key issues played a role in their departure: money and movies. Warner Bros. apparently wasn't offering enough of the former, and their Smallville duties weren't affording them enough time to do the latter. Now, these same sources stressed that the duo's exit should not be likened to the seismic event that was Team Palladino's exodus from Gilmore Girls two years ago. Whereas Amy and Dan pretty much wrote and/or directed every episode of GG right up to the day they packed up and left, Al and Miles have been relatively hands-off in recent years, leaving much of the work to Darren Swimmer, Todd Slavkin, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson. And since the four of them will now be running the show together, the transition will be a seamless one. Sources: Devoted to Smallville & Ask Ausiello. __________________ "Here comes the (BOOM!)

Quote: That's what I figured. They have so many people working on the show that Al and Miles leaving isn't going to have that much effect on the direction or atmosphere of the show. And since the four of them will now be running the show together, the transition will be a seamless one. __________________ |

Here's something on the Season 7 DVD.
Season 7 DVD News! UPDATED 4-11-08 Here's something unconfirmed by the studio, which is why we're keeping it on Rumorville for now... After a Season 6 DVD set lacking in the commentary department, we are hearing that the Season 7 set will have "at least 1 or 2 commentary tracks." No details beyond that are available, except that actors AND crew will be involved. If we hear any more about this, we'll share... (and if anyone from Smallville is reading and wants to tell us more info, feel free!) Smallville: The Complete Seventh Season should be hitting stores in September, prior to the launch of Season 8. You know I think it would be better to release it in the summer so everybody could watch the whole season before the next season starts.
Or maybe right the next day after this season ends. They could advertise it's release on the season finale. __________________ |

An update spoilers.
Episode #7-18: "Apocalypse" May 1, 2008 Written By: Turi Meyer & Al Septien Directed By: Tom Welling Guest Stars: James Marsters (Brainiac), Brett Dier (Chris Kent) The CW's Official Description (Added 4/14/08): CLARK SEES WHAT LIFE WOULD BE LIKE IF HE HAD NEVER ARRIVED ON EARTH; TOM WELLING DIRECTS — Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that Kara (Laura Vandervoort) sent messages from Krypton in the past that indicate that Brainiac (guest star James Marsters) wants to kill Baby Kal-El so Clark will not exist in the future. Clark is torn because he thinks the world would be better off if he had never arrived in Smallville. Jor-El arranges for him to see what life would have been like if Clark hadn't existed - Lex (Michael Rosenabum) is President of the United States, Kara is raised by the Luthors, Jonathan (John Schneider) is alive, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) is happily married and Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lois (Erica Durance) are ace reporters. Aaron Ashmore also stars. UPDATED 4/14/08: Even though the official description says "Jonathan is still alive"... that doesn't necessarily mean that he's the "character we haven't seen on Smallville for a while." Though a John Schneider guest appearance would really fit in well here. - Brett Dier plays "Chris," a boy who grew up living in the Kent house in the alternate universe where Clark did not come to Earth. Whether he's a natural born Kent child or adopted remains to be seen. - Chloe's fiancee is most likely the character named "George." - Lana is married and living in France - and no, her husband isn't Jason Teague. Source: Kryptonsite. Here's this 'Chris Kent'. ![]() __________________ "Here comes the (BOOM!)

Episode #7-20: "Arctic" May 15, 2008 Directed By: Todd Slavkin Guest Stars: James Marsters (Brainiac) UPDATED 4/15/08: Lois and Clark share a fun scene, and Lois learns that there was a time when Clark and Lex were very good friends, which surprises her. - Even though Lex now owns the newspaper that Lois works for, that doesn't mean she hasn't been doing some digging of her own about him. - Lex has at least one surprising ally on his side. - Kara's strange behavior may lead to a Kara/Clark confrontation. I can't believe Lex Luthor at the Fortress of Solitude. Man they are really getting my attention with these last few episodes of the season.
If you find any word on John Schneider appearing for sure or not let us know. ![]() __________________ |

Brett Dier does NOT play Chris. The script has been changed and you will NOT believe who he plays.

Cool. I got new that will change the universe...FOREVER!!
Season 8 & More Spoilers UPDATED 5/1/08: Michael Rosenbaum will not be returning as a series regular for Season 8. Negotiations are continuing to try and bring Allison Mack back next year. Kristin Kreuk will be back for at least part of Season Eight. Tom Welling, Aaron Ashmore, Laura Vandervoort, and Erica Durance are all still said to be signed and expected to return for the show's eighth year. John Glover was also still on contract, though we saw from "Descent" that there was a change in plans. Two new characters have been announced for Season 8: Doomsday: In season eight, Clark will face his ultimate challenge with the appearance of the legendary, unstoppable destroyer Doomsday, who appears on “Smallville” for the first time. As comic book fans know, Doomsday is notorious for being the only character in the DC Comics universe to have killed Superman. Female villain: Doomsday won’t be Clark’s only nemesis in the upcoming season. The executive producers are tight-lipped about a new female villain they will be introducing, but they can say she will be familiar to many fans and will set her sights on Clark in ways Lex never could. Intelligent, brilliantly manipulative, and dangerously sinister, our gorgeous new villain has one more weapon in her arsenal: Her mutual attraction with Clark may prove to be as deadly as kryptonite for him. Source: Kryptonsite. This comes after the Major News!! __________________ "Here comes the (BOOM!)
