WAIT!!! I just had a thought.
Quote:
Female villain: Doomsday won’t be Clark’s only nemesis in the upcoming season. The executive producers are tight-lipped about a new female villain they will be introducing, but they can say she will be familiar to many fans and will set her sights on Clark in ways Lex never could. Intelligent, brilliantly manipulative, and dangerously sinister, our gorgeous new villain has one more weapon in her arsenal: Her mutual attraction with Clark may prove to be as deadly as kryptonite for him. What if I told you if that person was someone who was guest star on the show & died?? What if they brought her back by cloning her?? What if it's...Alicia Baker?! And she will be ANGRY!! Think about it!! Quote: 1.) So much for this theory. Look. Details On Smallville's Two New Season 8 Characters! Casting breakdowns have gone out for the two new characters of Smallville Season 8. Here's what they are looking for. Could "Davis Bloome" be an alter ego for "Doomsday" and "Tess" be short for "Tessmacher?" Watch and see... DAVIS BLOOME: 26, Charming and handsome. Davis is the new bartender at the hip Metropolis lounge. Ace of Clubs, where he plays down his smoldering good looks with a self-effacing wit and down-to-earth soulfulness. Despite the ease with which Davis relates to his new friends, he carries with him the long-felt feelings of a perpetual outsider. Beneath Davis' charismatic, easy going demeanor lies a brooding sense of isolation and insecurity.. When he begins to delve into the haunting mysteries of his true origins, a darker truth begins to emerge, one of blood and serial murders, one of survival and utter destruction--one in which he is forced to confront the true evil inside of him...SERIES REGULAR. TESS: 28, Drop Dead Gorgeous. Determined. Sexy. Vengeful. And with amped physical strength. While Lex is away, she is in control of his estate and rules it with aggression. She's had intellect and the confidence all her life, though it's obvious she's had some training from Lex, as well. But as much as Lex has helped fortify her power, he is also her biggest weakness. She harbors an undying devotion to Lex, claiming he saved her life a few years ago. She carries out his wishes with coercion, force, seduction and anything to get what she wants, and no one can resist her beguiling ways. Even Clark Kent. She doesn't remember anything before the day she met Lex. Once she realizes her previous life is buried below the surface, she's desperate to dig it up...SERIES REGULAR. Source: Kryptonsite. Along with the news that original cast members Kristin Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum decided not to renew their Smallville contracts for next season, came word of two new characters -- both villains -- who will join the series this September when the show returns for an eighth year. Doomsday, we were told, will be Clark's ultimate challenge, as he's known in the DC Comics universe to be the only character to have killed Superman. And the second fresh nemesis will present Mr. Kent with other problems, seeing as she is intelligent, manipulative and they'll have a mutual attraction. No additional information was provided, but a bit of fresh intel has just landed in my hot little hands... I'm told the female villain will be named Tess. In her late-20s, smokin' hot and incredibly strong, Tess will take aggressive control of Lex's estate in his absence. While she's perfectly capable of making her own decisions, she will always differ to Lex's wishes, as she's completely devoted to him. She could prove to be his greatest asset, as she possesses numerous talents, including a power of persuasion that even Clark can't resist. Still, she knows something isn't right, as she can't recall any of her life before meeting Lex, which leads me to believe that he's got her under some sort of spell. And the new dude they're calling Doomsday? I'm hearing he'll go by the name of Davis Bloome. A good-looking 20-something, he'll tend bar at a trendy Metropolis club, and be popular with the ladies. Though seemingly easy-going and well-adjusted, he will battle a deep sense of insecurity and loneliness that leads to an unmistakably evil, dark side. Something on the finale!!
UPDATED 5/8/08: The episode's trailer confirms one of the characters that you may not have expected to see: Kristin Kreuk returns as Lana. Some sources say "she wakes up and leaves town," but this has not been confirmed. - Also from the promo: Something happens to Chloe that puts her on a ventilator. - This is Michael Rosenbaum's final episode as a series regular, and it could possibly be Allison Mack's last episode as well. Source: Kryptonsite. I'm sure we have questions like: 1.)Who's Clark fighting??
2.) How is Lana awake & why is she sad??
3.) How did this happen to Chloe??
4.) Will Clark & Lois FINALLY get together??
and 5.) Will Lex kill Clark after knowing the truth?? ![]() __________________ "Here comes the (BOOM!)

There's some more news!!
It looks like Smallville's about to take another, potentially lethal, hit. Just a week after it was announced that Michael Rosenbaum would not be returning full time as Lex next season, sources confirm to me exclusively that Allison Mack, arguably Smallville's most popular heroine, may be the next to go. This marks quite a turnaround from a few months ago, when I deemed Mack a lock to come back next season. And I wasn't the only one. Although a deal wasn't signed at the time, Smallville insiders tell me that all indications were that the actress was on board for Season 8. But then Rosenbaum terndered his resignation and everything fell apart. "Allison's camp used Michael leaving as leverage in the negotiations with [Warner Bros.]," says one Smallville source, who adds that Kristin Kreuk's decision to only return for a handful of episodes as Lana only strengthened Mack's bargaining position. "They need Chloe now more than ever — and Allison's people know it." (Mack's reps declined to comment for this story.) But will the studio suits budge? In this climate, with ratings down by double digits and belt-tightening going on everywhere, no one is optimistic. However, everyone pretty much agrees about one thing: Smallville can't afford to lose Mack right now. "If Allison leaves, they've essentially got Lois and Clark left," notes one insider. "And that show's been done before." So, what do you think? Should Warner Bros. man up and give Mack what she's probably been worth all along? Or are you OK with Smallville turning into Lois & Clark: The Early Years? Sound off below! Source: TV Guide.com. And this Mega Minute. __________________ "Here comes the (BOOM!)

In fact it might tend to make better sense at this point. He really needs to be really close to the adult Superman and Kent we all are familiar with...well with their own twist on the mythos of course. __________________ |

Updates on who's coming and who's staying.
No Chloe For Season 8? UPDATED 5-10-08 It was recently announced that Michael Rosenbaum will not be returning as a series regular for Season 8... but could he be the only one leaving? TV Guide's Mike Ausiello has revealed that things are not looking good with Allison Mack's negotiations, implying that the situation may be budgetary. Hopefully a deal will come through and we'll be seeing Allison as Chloe in Season 8... however, things are not looking very good at this time. Without Allison, that would leave Tom Welling as the only full-time cast member still on the show from Season One. Source: Kryptonsite - Rumorville. Casting Has Begun For Smallville's Two New Season 8 Characters The casting process has begun for the two new characters of Smallville Season 8, and we have some hits as to what their first scenes may include. Keep in mind that these introductory scenes might not be what hits the air in September. For example, when producers were casting for Jason Teague back in 2004, there was a scene involving Lana and a Vespa that did not get filmed in the actual show. DAVIS BLOOME: The "screen test" scenes involving Davis Bloome take place at the Ace O'Clubs bar. All of his scenes involve his character interacting, and in some ways dangerously flirting with, Lois. - They first meet when Lois comes into the bar with a guy on her mind - a "really confusing, mysterious and oddly sexy friend." - Later, Davis wakes up on the couch at the Ace O'Clubs with stains of blood on his hand. He claims it's because a waitress broke a tray of glasses. Or is it something else, something more violent? - Davis aggressively demands that Lois not tell anyone about what she sees. Read the character breakdowns TESS: Tess introduces herself to Clark as she is snooping around the Kent Farm, and Clark catches her. - She is introduced as the person who is in charge of Lex Luthor's estate "in his absence." She also knows very well about the Kents' connections to Lionel Luthor. - In another scene, Tess confronts Jimmy in the Daily Planet archive room, and knows all about the deal that he had made to work for Lex.
